Yup, its true that our people have weird thinking. I was looking for vitz and was bored with the usual silver/grey/white so specifically searched for a red or blue one. Resale is important but dont agree with this pathetic mentality of "market ka color". Hopefully sanity will prevail as the market evolves.

I would suggest to check other showrooms as well. On 16th June, I was given September as a delivery month by Toyota I-9, Islamabad. I then have checked other showrooms and Abara, Islamabad showroom given me the delivery month of August. (Also, got a confirmation message by Toyota on delivery month, too)

That's another story that showroom-guy told me that if I book the car in next 2 hours, he can assure August delivery month, otherwise, it's September.

I actually wanted to go for 1.5 Ativ-X CVTi but can't wait for 5 months and not in a mood to pay 2.5 lac own money so settled for 1.3 Ativ. It's temporary since I'll eventually go for Corolla as soon as a new shape arrives.

Here's something more, I took a test drive, it was 1.3 auto, wasn't really impressed but after a friend took a delivery of car and I drove it for over 100 kms (about solid 3 hours), I'm confident to say that it's a good choice compared to my (sold) GLi. It's fast, smooth, extremely silent (compared to XLi/GLi/City/Swift/Cultus) and it's glass indeed reduce direct sun-heat impact. Has no build issues whatsoever like Civic-x experienced at launch, dashboard, interior, doors, boot, hood, lights, bumpers, etc. everything's pretty much aligned.

2-3 years down the road which variant would have better resale between 1.3 ATIV and 1.5 ATIV?

5 years ago we bought toyota altis 1.6 auto in 18 lac 80k zero meter. Now its price is more than invoice price after 5 years. This only happens due to inflation and dollar rate. Even after using the car for 5 years we can still sell it more than we bought it for in PKR. You can expect same with all other cars as well.

However, if you compare its value in dollar than it surely devalued.

which model of yaaris will get better resale if one want to sale it off in a year or two??? if estimated, how much can it lose its resale value in coming years compared to its current invoice??
i am not fond of the shape and increased height of yaris. price is also a bit higher.
the other brand new options are old generation city and discontinued ciaz.
i will ultimately sell this yaris but don't wanna lose money during resale.

Even though i kinda dislike the styling but damn does this thai version seem stunning! With the ride lowered, tinted windows, and those beautiful black housin projector lamps look way too good. I think the rims are modelista which come on some JDM cars with those modelista body kits such as Aqua Vezel Prius etc.
