SO, I went for my first free service. I was definitely not satisfied with the 'service'.
****LONG POST AHEAD (sorry)********
I was at the dealership at 11 AM and due to 'an unexpected volume of customers', they said that you'll have to leave your vehicle and collect it by 3:30 PM. I was a bit annoyed but had no choice so I just accepted it. I specifically mentioned all the issues/complaints I had regarding the car and told them to look into it. Seeing as how they had a good 4 hours with my car, I expected that they would handle all these points and then I would have a final talk with them when I came to receive the car. But that's not how it went. What actually happened was that around 3:00 PM I get a call from the same Service Advisor I handed my car over to that my car is ready. I asked whether all the complaints had been addressed as well. To my surprise, this same guy says, 'Complaints?? What complaints?'. After which I proceeded to remind him of the list of issues I had specifically mentioned to him! He then says that I will have to come and mention these to the technician in person. At this point I was baffled as to why he didn't ask me to stay at the dealership while the car was being inspected. So I storm to the dealership and have to wait another 15 minutes or so for the technician as everyone's on their tea break. No problem with that of course. Everyone deserves a break at the alotted time. However, what did piss me off was that after the tea break, the Service Advisor could not call the technician as he was fully occupied with another job. After much insistance, the guy comes and I tell him my concerns. He then says that for these issues, you will have to come back another day specifically to address these issues. When I pointed my bewildered eyes at the service advisor next to him. He agreed with that statement and said that if we started looking after this issues, 'aapki first free servcie waalay kaam reh jaatay'. Then when I mentioned some more issues, the technician says that he's not the guy for this and that he was running late on his assigned job anyways so he just hurried away leaving me with the Service Advisor. I was full HULK by this time because I specifically waited till the first free service to have all these issues checked out and now they just stamped a few papers and released my car. It was around 5 PM or so by the time all bullcrap played out so I had no choice but to agree that I would come by later.
Now, what I want to ask all of you is that should I expect them to charge me for rectifying all these concerns when I revisit the dealership? Because I do not intend to pay them a single paisa.
