They will target city 1.3 and 1.5
But time will tell if indus motors declares it 1332 or 1298cc if they declare it 1332 then 1500cc is a better option.
Like in citys case 1500cc is only 50k more expensive.

If they launch 1.5 cvti , that means that car will be more equiped than a 1.6 altis , which has a simple 4 speed AT.Doesn't make sense they will compete with their own product.
sister competition is nothing new.
A alto VXL Ags is more equipped then a WagonR
A Cultus vxr is more equipped then a WagonR AGS
So that's how it works.
A manual 1600cc Corolla is also in the pipeline
League is important thing as 1.6 will be for corollas while 1.5 even cvt is for yaris the inferior league

Their are probably 2 1.3 trims basic and premium replacing Xli and Gli. And a premium 1.5 variant.
We have definitely seen some with wheel caps and rims, and a variant with DRLS.
Watched Pakwheels weekly Suneel bhai is saying that 1.3 auto and manual will be launched to replace xli and gli but doesn't say 1.5
They could downsize the engine to stay in <1300cc bracket. Reportedly, that's what AlHaj proton is aiming to do with their upcoming SAGA to keep the price as low as possible.Imo If yaris comes under 1300cc it could undercut the City's pricing completely killing it in the process and forcing Honda to launch it's new generation.....
