@chinyoti Bhai is probably confusing smooth and jerk less CVT acceleration with a traditional auto or manual transmission.
The CVT lag he talks about is mostly non-existent in any 1300+cc cars (yes, it's felt in Vitz 1.0L). He says CVT isn't smooth and is laggy even in Grande.
How about you compare 0-100 speed, that will actually tell you what is faster and responsive!
Someone tell chinyoti brother that Grande and Aqua with CVTs beat traditional auto tranny's in acceleration. They're super fast at 0-100 compared to conventional auto transmission cars of Pakistan.
If not beat then close or same acceleration.
So why is chinyoti Bhai still saying CVT is slow?
Because he is used to feeling shifts or jerks of conventional auto, or the no smooth acceleration, which gives him a false sense of acceleration and he feels CVT is slow.
But if you do a drag race of CVT Grande or Aqua with others there will not be much difference at all.
So the difference here is psychological rather than real.
As traditional auto isn't smooth when accelerating and you feel the shifting. So you think it's going faster. But it isn't. CVTs are as fast or better in 1300+cc
