so if we cannot buy JDMs, we are only left with 4 options.
and we don't buy PKDMs only because they are new and all and better options. the major factor is resale too. let the resale factor be cut out. no one will buy that much.
i am willing to buy yaris because i don't have other options and it is brand new, and most importantly, i will not lose money. it feels like an asset, though it shouldn't be.

anyways, it doesn't look like the conditions could change.

I do not really understand the outrage agaist Yaris or for that matter any inanimate object. No one is forcing people to buy Yaris, if you do not like it, do not purchase it. There are plenty of options available.

I also believe that R&D Department of Toyota does not visit Pakwheel forums to assess the faults in their vehicles and update according to scientists commenting here.

Every car has a function and a role, no car excels at everything as desi mindset demands. They often ask I am looking for a "family"car, like there are single cars in market too catering to single people, People expect one sedan to fulfill all their dreams - it should be a speed machine great at corners and do off roading as well and must give 100KM in 1 litter plus should accomodate a 7 member family too

Well said. We are equally at fault and I feel like we criticize things too much and that's one the reason in new entrants coming and becoming successful all those who they don't need resale and need good car why did they not buy Lancers & Ciaz and many cars which vanished. Everyone here talks about top speed and cornering how many times an average travel on motorway once a month or may be once a quarter some of them travel only on Eid.

Avoid a 5 year old JDM. No guarantee whether it's accidented or not

If you are into used, look for a 16/17 Civic/Grande otherwise get a new Yaris

Thanks for advice. Altis 1.6 2020 is also in same price of yaris ativ 1.5 just a difference of 3 lakh rupee . Dont you think it’s better?

1st it is better in size and engine but lacks modern features. Transmission is also a subject some prefer CVT some don't. Plus an outgoing model (a year or two max).

2nd , once upon a time 3 lakh used to be a lot of difference to consider, in current inflated state of things not sure but again it is subject to affordability.

I like the approach of few who are getting Yaris ATIV X now with a plan to replace it with new Corolla in a year or two instead of going with ALTIS. Now lets just hope they don't get the shock of a 4.5 Mil+ price tag of new Corolla.

Take CIAZ with a grain of salt. Suzuki has long history of abandoning its sedan cars. CIAZ is not assembled in pakistan so its highly likely that it will also get the same fate as baleno and liana.

My father's organization bought ciaz and soon regretted it as parts availability is still a problem in remote areas.

Don't see a reason why parts won't be available at all 3s. That's good enough.

Anyway I can't say about that but Ciaz is a great car and currently better than both City and probably Yaris too.

But I think they've now discontinued it and no longer selling. If true then that's a negative as support availability will be affected in a few years.

With discontinuation Yaris is probably a better and smarter buy.

whie yaris proved to have annoying yaw rate at curves.

Indus has raised height to the extent that's never been done before on a compact sedan.. not surprised.

Oct 2019 means 9 months back. To my knowledge, PS isn't importing Ciaz anymore, meaning that it has effectively been discontinued. If they were to import it now, it would be the facelifted model and would cost way more than its current price of 23lac M/T, 25 lac A/T.

Correct me if I'm wrong but any dealerships still offering new Ciaz would only be clearing leftover stock.
