I wonder if there is any AC performance difference with different driving modes, but it is not as good as honda city

Asking here, to check if it is standard or i should get it checked.

If you are feeling any lack of performance then get it checked. I have shifted from city to yaris 1.3 and there is no feeling of under performance in fact I feel its ac is more powerful than that of city's.

I feel that yaris AC performance is not as good as honda city, is there any settings that i need to do

I am also facing same issue... Although the AC is not very bad but not good too.... The throw is not so good even at highest fan speed. The cooling is also not very good. I had a trip of Multan and Lahore last week and outside temperature was 35-36 degrees. I adjusted the climate control to 22 degrees and drove for 3 hours ( from Multan to Bhera rest area) and the car failed to reach the 22 degree point and the fan was continuously running at highest speed. If 22 degrees can't be reached by driving at Motorway for three hours then I guess it is poor performance.

Is AC checking part of 10k maintenance labour cost or will they charge separately?
My 10k maintenance is due and wanted to know if AC service is included or will they charge me quite heavily for it.

No not so far... I will have 10k maintenance on Monday. Probably then I will let them check it. Also I face the same issue of almost useless side vents. Almost no air comes out of them.

Yes, side vents are almost useless, no air comes from there.

Your 5k maintenance was free?

however its really poor from toyota, mine is 7k driven only and this is its first summer.

AC system is covered in the car's warranty. The cabin filter is supposed to be replaced whenever it becomes too dirty. If your filter needs to be changed then you'll only have to pay for the price of the filter. Any other issue with the AC system e.g low refrigerant, leak etc should be fixed free of cost because of the warranty.

I'm also in Islamabad. So not sure if I can get it checked tomorrow or not. If Toyota dealership will ask too much price for AC maintenance I might go to Abu Bakar in G-8. I had maintained my AC in my 2009 cultus from him and it's performance was by no means any less than the current state of my Yaris AC.

I have a mehran in which i installed ac like 4 years ago and its performance seems to be same without any maintence (except i got it serviced once).

And toyota condition got worse in few months.

But one can only know after getting it checked, because as per the comments above yaris AC is great, which is not true in mine and @imarshad case.
