Very expensive... Can't it be cleaned with air pressure plus washing like normal ac filters in home?

During the last week I have driven my Yaris Ativ X almost 3000km. I had a visit of Multan. Also I visited Bahawalpur and Derawar in that visit. After coming back to Islamabad next day I had to visit Lahore and back to Islamabad. Since most of this was on Motorway so I will share my experience of Cruise control and motor driving.
1. I have become addicted to Cruise control. It is such a convenience to drive with both your legs free. Now I have become very very comfortable driving with cruise control.
2. The cruise control that I got ( from Daraz) is working flawlessly. I have become used to the speed increase/decrease function. The best button on Cruise control is RES button (Resume).
3. I almost always set the cruise speed at 125 km/hr. Although the vehicle gives slightly less average at this speed ( 15.5 for 3000km) but still the drive on motorway is enjoyable.
4. If I set cruise at 110 km/hr the average is 17-17.5 km/l but it will be a very painful driving experience.
5. With my cruise speed of 125 km/hr I had to use dippers and horns a lot. When a vehicle is moving in the fast lane with a lower speed and you have cruise on, you want it to get out of your way before you have to apply brakes. Otherwise if you have to apply breaks you will start to abuse the driver because your average will come down. After overtaking you can press the RES(ume) button and your last cruising speed will be achieved. During this period the RPM will be quite high (depending upon how much you had to brake).
6. My prediction is that once you get comfortable with cruise you will never ever drive without it on motorway.
7. The best thing is that you will not get a speeding ticket on motorway with cruise on.

Dont know about him. But I got Cruise from here. There is a video on Youtube of a Pakistani who bought this and installed it himself. I bough it on his recommendation

Bought this wire separately which runs from steering wheel to ECU. Both are from same vendor so saved a little in shipping charges.

What does 662B Means. My Model Name is mentioned as YARIS 662B 1.3 CVt in the Invoicing Status

Yes it does void warranty. But there is no cutting or joint involved. If you ever want to claim warranty you can remove the cruise before goibg to show room and they won't notice that you had installed cruise control.

So today I got my 10k maintenance from Toyota Capital Motors I-9 Islamabad. Total cost is as follows.
1. Labour charges Rs. 3150( In October it was Rs. 1800).
2. Engine oil Rs. 4645.
3. Oil filter Rs. 1307.
Total Rs. 9102.
After Discount on labour I paid Rs. 8787.
Here is what's included in Labour.
1. Engine oil + filter change.
2. All lubricants ( Battery acid, coolant, wiper water) check and top up if required.
3. Air filter cleaning.
4. Plugs cleaning.
5. All brakes service.
6. Cabin filter checkup and cleaning (upon request).
7. AC checking ( upon request).
8. Any other issue that you are facing.
9. Inspection of bottom of car for any loose nut and leakage.
Low air from Side Vents.
So now coming back to my AC troubles. I asked about the cabin filter and it's price. They told me genuine will cost somewhere round Rs. 15,000. The one of Toyota Corolla will cost Rs. 4600. I asked them to check it. It was really full of dust and chocked. I asked the mechanic to clean it with air. He told me it can be cleaned but with great care as it can easily get damaged. He said it should not be changes before 20k. In the nutshell he cleaned it with air and after that my AC is working very well. The side vents now have excellent throw.

I also asked them to check my AC. They inserted a temp sensor inside the center vent and after 5 minutes read the value. It was 5.2 degrees. He said your AC is working absolutely perfectly. Your only problem was a chocked cabin filter.
After the work I returned home and on my back journey the change in throw and cooling was huge. Now I can safely say AC of Yaris is excellent.
Important point about Cabin Filter.
The mechanic told me not to use fresh air intake. He said it will choke your cabin filter very quickly. Also try your best to clean the existing one and change it only after 20k. The cabin filter is behind the gloves compartment and a 20 second process to remove.

Tyre Rotation and balancing.
I asked the mechanic if I need tyre rotation. He said it is not required as there is not much difference between front and back tyres at 10k. He said you should check at 15k or 20k and then do the rotation. Balancing charges were Rs. 1750 and per gram additional charges will be added. Way too expensive. I guess I will get it done from Market at Rs. 100 per tyre after 15-20k.

You should have changed the AC filter. It is not mileage dependant. Whenever it gets too dirty. It should be replaced. A new filter would make the AC throw even better.
