Aoa everyone.
Had a quick question about my Yaris 1.5 ativ x. It is 10k driven. Recently on motorway M2 I had to apply brakes at around 130kmph and felt slight judder and noise from the front brakes. I checked doing the same thing again and this only happens when braking from 130+. Not during city use.

Any ideas what it could be? Also isnt it a bit too early for such an issue?

Received my car from dealership on 01/04/2022 & got it insured from TPP as it was a good choice with 0% depriciation for the 1st year. Received original invoices and gave them to the dealership for registration on the same day.
Got my Punjab registration number on 02/04/2022, total challan amount was Rs =73,510/- as I am tax filer.
Drove car on Motorway Lahore- Sialkot at 120kmph & got average of 16.5kmpl. Drove in local city & getting average of 15kmpl on almost every trip. Trip A showing average of 14.9 kmpl after 500 Km which includes around 350 km Sialkot trip & 150 Km driven within Lahore.
I noticed that my car was pulling slightly towards left on motorway so I visited dealership on 03/04/2022 for the rectification of the issue, they did the allignment & issue was resolved on the 1st visit.
On the same day I got Retractable mirrors & Cruise control installed from the same dealership from where I booked & received my Yaris 2022. They entered in on the warranty book under "accessories installed by the dealership" so that these items also remains under warranty.
Till now it has been a pleasure driving my Yaris & I hope that it stays this way till the time I own it.

How much did they charge for retractable mirrors and cruise control?

How much was the cost of the cruise and retractable mirrors from dealership. Also if you can share a picture of the button installed for retractable mirrors?

Toyota Dealership installed genuine used retractable motors & Cruise control for Rs 20,000/-. There are others who are selling new chinese motors & cruise control switch at a cheaper rate, but then your warranty will be void if it is not installed from the dealership.

Its fine. Its the BA, ABS and TC switching on when you hard brake at high speeds. Wont kick in at lower speeds

Is it me or anyone else also thinks that Yaris fuel consumption reading is gimmicked. If you stop at a signal for 2 minutes, you will notice that the fuel avg. of your car will come down and it will keep coming down till the time the car is stationary. I was driving the car at roughly 15 avg. within the city and then I hit a bad traffic jam. Within 10 minutes the avg came down from 15 to 8 which isn't possible as the car cannot burn that much amount of fuel in idle and that too with AC turned off.

The feel of tyres have to travel to the whole suspension before it reaches to the occupants.

Given the Yaris suspension are offered as tuned for most comfortable ride, hence it is not possible to feel. I daily drive both Altis and Yaris and Yaris is much soft and pleasure full.

As far as noise is related, it is due to the various road surfaces we travel upon. In our country there are no standards of road construction and in a single journey we face many types of surfaces and we feel different types of noises calling the oem tyres as noisy. The tyre dealers get the roads of their vicinity carpeted smooth giving a false feel that after tyre replacement with xx brand the drive is smooth and quiet.

On next fillup please reset the fuel avg then you will be able to see actual numbers.

Meanwhile do consider that there readings are not accurate, consider the value you get while filling up the tank peovided the pump is pouring the mentioned quantity as all I came across in Khi pour between 940 to 980 mL to every liter charged on the dispenser meter.

can anyone please share the exact maintenance schedule in the owners manual that we need for the maintenance
e.g 5000 (oil + oil filter), 10000 (oil+??)
because today at my first oil change on 5000 Toyota Ravi salesman asked me to get complete inspection front and rear break shoes, alignment etc

Now this is good news. This is the first time I'm hearing of a dealership actually recording any accessories they've installed in the warranty booklet. If you don't mind, could you share a picture of your warranty book with this "accessories installed by the dealership" comment? I think I just might go for retractable mirrors and cruise control as well.

Me too, but my dealership quoted 25k for cruise, then didn't have appetite to ask for other rates.

I did it myself and also lots of other people, costing around 3k In place of warranty I have Insurance

Does your insurace cover a sub device malfunction in your vehicle pertaing to modifications?

For example due to non standard aftermarket wiring the car ECU gets toasted, does your insurance will pay for its replacement? If yes then it is good to install all the after market goodies you like.

Do share the insurance brand and its retail price on which you purchased it.

I don't do modification I am not certain about, I installed cruise control with proper wiring myself. Secondly If I install retractable mirrors I will do the same.

You could have simply said "No insurance does not cover problems due to modifications"
