Out of all yaris stands out as the most easy steering. As Altis has low profiles tyres hence its steering feels heavy, but Yaris is like buttery smooth and easy.

Hello All,

I need some advice. I received my ATIV X CVT back on the 31st of August 2021 and since then, I've only driven it some 2200 km (I travel a lot for work and the car is barely used by the family when I'm gone). The convention is to bring the car in for inspection and maintenance @ 5000km OR after 6 months. It has definitely been more than 6 months but the mileage is still less than half. So my question is, shall I wait to get to 5000 km or go for the maintenance now?

Took my Ativ X from Faisalabad to Gwadar, It was almost 3750 KM round trip journey. Car performed very well on route and all kind of road (desert, beaches, off-roading and on mountains).

I went when meter touched 4800 mark. and it was after a year of purchasing as I was one of the early adopters and car was delivered during strict Covid days hence car chal hi nahi rahi thi.

This is interesting. They may not have changed the CVT type but just added description of CVT. H stands for Hydrostatic in HCVT.

My car was booked in May-2020 during and the invoice does say HCVT.

My Ativ X (July-21) does not say HCVT its just CVT but I still think both will have same.

Yes. It has nothing to do with transmission changed from cvt to something like hcvt. People on facebook were posting same that now the transmission has changed to HCVT, lol

What is fuel average of Yaris 1.3 CVT Gli version ? I am planning to buy it as second car

City driving 12.5 km/liter with AC.
On highways it soars to 17 but while driving on 100 kmph.

Do note that harsh acceleration on highways hampers the economy number.

Known faults:
Center armrest is of no use as is is pointed more towards back seats.

Both the side vents have very less air through as compated to middle ones.

No I have not changed the tyres.

My school of thought do not hold Factory Fitted tyres for any discomfort or discrepancy in driving.

The latest technology is refering to "Geared" and not to HCVT as such. The term that makes it Latest Technology is because it is Geared. Conventional HCVT is available since 2012.

i honestly wish, if they had provided Geared CVT. would have blown the market, city would have been no competitor. They were offering Geared CVT in indian Yaris way back in 2019

Before this adventurous journey, ride was well prepared. I mean tuning, oil filter change, wheel balancing and alignment, general check up etc was done from Lyallpur Toyota motors Faisalabad. (I have Ativ X, ODO was 14000 KM before travel).

Two spare wheels, jump cables, some basic hand tools, torch and battery operated air compressor was taken for this journey.

10th April:
Started from Faisalabad at 11 AM. took M-4 till Multan, then M-5 till Sukker. Arrived at Sukker at 06:00 PM.
After exit from M-5, continue journey on the famous N-5 till Hyderabad. From Hyderabad took M-9 till Bahria town Karachi.
Just after Bahria town Karachi, there is famous desi restaurant (VIP USMAINA). I arrived there around 1 AM (11th April).

11th April:
Three hours sleep/Nap at USMANIA restaurant and resume travel at 04:00 AM toward Gwader.
Before Karachi, took M-10 till HUB city (Balochistan). Then continued on Karachi Quetta road till Zero point (starting point of Makran coastal highway). Arrival at zero point at 06:30 AM.

Makran coastal highway is around 530 KM long and have very different landscapes. Passing through famous beaches (Kund Malir, Golden Beach, Omara) I arrived at Gwadar City around 03:00 PM.
NOTE: From Winder city untill Gwadar, you will not find proper petrol stations but Irani fuel is available on coastal highway.

Over all I got 17 KM/L fuel economy. (16 Km/L on motorways and 19 Km/L on highways) During my stay in Gwadar, I have travelled till last city of Pakistan, named Jiwani.

I would say that TOYOTA made very reliable and tough vehicles. May be this journey could not completed with HONDA or SUZUKI.

During Gwadar stay, i travelled to very remote areas, where no roads exists. No sight of life around hundreds of kilometers (no mobile coverage) but I had trust on Toyota and AlhamduAllah, toyota proved it.

Dear Experts,

As I have heard that delivery of Yaris has been delayed and Mid of May has been conveyed to the customers to whom Month of April has been conveyed earlier as tentative month of Delivery. I have a few questions?

1) What is the possibility that deliveries during the month of May also delayed? As I have been given Tentative month of delivery as MAy'22.

2) Further, What are the chances that Toyota will pay interest for over period of 2 months? If yes then they would provide the check by themselves at the time of delivery or we have to enquire from them?

3) What are the main points which we have to check at the time of delivery? (Please guide me in detail if possible regarding this point)
