Before this adventurous journey, ride was well prepared. I mean tuning, oil filter change, wheel balancing and alignment, general check up etc was done from Lyallpur Toyota motors Faisalabad. (I have Ativ X, ODO was 14000 KM before travel).
Two spare wheels, jump cables, some basic hand tools, torch and battery operated air compressor was taken for this journey.
10th April:
Started from Faisalabad at 11 AM. took M-4 till Multan, then M-5 till Sukker. Arrived at Sukker at 06:00 PM.
After exit from M-5, continue journey on the famous N-5 till Hyderabad. From Hyderabad took M-9 till Bahria town Karachi.
Just after Bahria town Karachi, there is famous desi restaurant (VIP USMAINA). I arrived there around 1 AM (11th April).
11th April:
Three hours sleep/Nap at USMANIA restaurant and resume travel at 04:00 AM toward Gwader.
Before Karachi, took M-10 till HUB city (Balochistan). Then continued on Karachi Quetta road till Zero point (starting point of Makran coastal highway). Arrival at zero point at 06:30 AM.
Makran coastal highway is around 530 KM long and have very different landscapes. Passing through famous beaches (Kund Malir, Golden Beach, Omara) I arrived at Gwadar City around 03:00 PM.
NOTE: From Winder city untill Gwadar, you will not find proper petrol stations but Irani fuel is available on coastal highway.
Over all I got 17 KM/L fuel economy. (16 Km/L on motorways and 19 Km/L on highways) During my stay in Gwadar, I have travelled till last city of Pakistan, named Jiwani.
I would say that TOYOTA made very reliable and tough vehicles. May be this journey could not completed with HONDA or SUZUKI.
During Gwadar stay, i travelled to very remote areas, where no roads exists. No sight of life around hundreds of kilometers (no mobile coverage) but I had trust on Toyota and AlhamduAllah, toyota proved it.
