Yaris is the prime competitor for honda city and an ideal replacement for Xli/Gli or 1300cc Corolla. Bezza is smaller car.

Pakistan being the biggest market for Corolla in south east asia, Toyota wouldn't want to make a blunder by replacing Corolla base models with bezza. So its definitely the new yaris sedan avalible everywhere in Asia.

Bezza if launched would definitely be launched with a daihatsu badge, with bezza being the sedan version of Mira hatchback.

So is the Thai vios getting discontinued? I see that other markets have got the yaris sedan with the vios name. The vios looks so much more mature then whatever this is

No one here highlighted that what is the fuel average of automatic version. Right now I am using Aqua but I am interested to shift to sedan. I am getting very good average from Aqua as it is hybrid. I read somewhere that Yaris give 17.8. Please any senior can guide me here on this. Thanks

Sir it will never come close to average of an aqua.... this will come in 1.3 or 1.5 ... Don't expect miracles.
Maybe around 14 in local, thats just being realistic

12-14 should be maximum figures for yaris. Nothing beyond that

Drove the Vios in Malaysia a few days ago.

Not exactly a handsome car from any angle. Plus drive is just ok. The ones we rented were really well equipped. Had blind-spot assist, parking sensors and 360 cameras among other things. Doubt they’ll even include these features in here.
But still, seems to tick all the boxes for the pakistani market. Toyota..has a trunk...has a 1.5 (that someday someone on pw will refer to as ‘a beast’ ).

I have this Vios / Yaris 1.3 automatic model in Saudia.
City mileage is 11.5 to 13 km/l .
On highway though, with 5w30 oil and speed limit at 100 km/h , it gave me 19.6 km/l average.

at 120 km/h , i think it will come down to 17-18 km/l

That's on clean, high quality fuel.. and relatively easier driving conditions. Way different than normal congested bumper to bumper city traffic, potholes, breakers of every sort..

So, I'm guessing in PK it will be around 14-16 on highway, and ~10-11 within city.
