The price is reflecting the 4 Million 25 % GST, Hence the 9 lack rs difference in price of Gli and 1.3 ATIV.

Corolla 1.6 was always 2 to 3 lac rs expensive then the 1.5 L Yaris and i always said it was a better option.

I was in lahore last week driving a 1.6 4 Speed AT Corolla, I didnt miss any of the smart entry or touch AC in that car, Plus the drive was beyond par.

CVT is a enjoyless drive, Comparing my 1.5 CVT City with Corolla

Also, I dont understand Yaris being sold at a price higher then the City.

Yeah but all the 1.3 variants have increased in price. 1.3 ativ CVT was under the 25 percent bracket before but now for some reason Indus has decided to increase prices of all variants while the whole market is going down. Now no variant of Yaris makes sense as for every variant there's now a better alternate at the same price bracket.

Yeah CVTs are boring, but that 4 speed auto and the honda 5 speed prosmatecs are even worse, no offense. Even the Hyundai 6 speed auto is pretty bad. The issue in the cheap economy cars is that when they have a regular auto, it's such a bad transmission that even CVT leads to a better drive in my opinion. Plus corolla 1.6 now comes with Cvt as well making it an even easier choice over Yaris.

All of you maybe right but Yaris is available only 2 months booking time and not readily available also Alto vxl has 50-80K own and Swift GLX as well as Stonic has own. I know because I was in market to buy new car.

That's artificial low supply. Cars aren't selling much nowadays. I'd suggest slightly used now because the rates are much lower as due to low sales, people in used market actually decrease their prices unlike for new cars. I've seen people selling their cars even up to 5 lakhs below their market value. Also honda seems to sell without own when the dealer does have some stock.

I searched for 2 months cars with low prices are messed up at-least in Punjab & Islamabad. People are asking insane prices just to example 2022 model Alto VXR 32K driven having Islamabad registration and back bumper replaced rest genuine Suzuki maintained sold for 2.5 million where as new VXR 2024 available for 2.7.

not every cvt are enjoyless or boring ..the main reason for your enjoyless drive with city cvt is due to its cvt having no simulated shifts and constant groan sound traditional cvt..drive a grande or maybe civic turbo you may change your statement..plus facelift yaris now has parking sensors in bumpers plus led projection headlights and 3 airbags which cost more then city which has reflector housing halogens ,no parking sensors and 2 airbags ..but i agree all manufactures are overpricing .

I had a feeling that every other company is thinking of reducing the price or offering installment plans to attract buyer and toyota might be thinking of keeping the prices same and introduce the facelift within the same price bracket but i was totally wrong. On road price is 6.5 millions that is on higher side

Toyota seems to be betting on it's repute leading to good sales. I am 99 percent sure this facelift for 1.5 and 1.3 ativ cvt will be a total disaster with almost no sales same as the previous aero Yaris model due to the price being too high. This shows how out of touch Indus is with the local market.

Btw does anyone know that if all models are getting the new features or are the new features just for the ativ models? Cause if all models got the new features then the gli 1.3 Cvt actually seems like a pretty reasonable deal. Pakwheels blog posts have as usual given no such clarity.

After going through the official spec sheet it seems the features are only for the top model. Besides led headlamps all features are the same in the 1.3 models as before with just a facelift. The glis and ativ manual can probably be given a pass cause the price increase isn't huge and you get a new look and led lamps. Can still be considered competitive with city 1.2 and swift. 1.3 ativ and 1.5 ativ x models though make no sense at the current prices. At the very least Indus should've tried hard to have the 1.3 ativ in the under 4 million before gst bracket. That's their most hot selling model and I don't see anyone going for it now when you can get city 1.5 for the same price and gli Cvt being almost 9 lakhs cheaper.

CVTs are boring even with fake shifts. I would prefer CVT without fake shifts. That's the worst thing manufacturers do with the CVTs.

well to each their own i guess .. i simply loathe the constant rpm cvts with that groan it just makes it boring and the engine screaming out as the revs get higher ..whereas the simulated ones give you a nice feel that your actually changing through gears ..its same as manufactures of electric vehicles are doing by adding exhaust sounds through speakers ..some manage to give the actual feeling of driving a combustion engine equipped car(or similar) while some sound very over and fake.. the only thing i would see as a disadvantage of owning a cvti vehcile is the more expensive maintanence or their fragility in the long run but with a toyota thats over 150k kms so your good to go for atleast 7 years or so..the better power delivery to the wheels and better fuel economy are some benefits of cvts..provided that your manufacturer gives a good one not a traditional one found in vitz.prius,city,oriel etc with constant rpm groans ,they are not that boring..auto transmission hunting for gears or lagging in shifts when they get older are not very nice either. i use manual mode using paddle shifters in my grande and its more fun then a auto tranny car with no paddleshifts or manual mode option like my prosmatic city before.

LED headlights+ Parking sensors are standard in all variants. 1.3Gli CVt is only value for money and good buy over city 1.2.
1.5 ativ X also has good specs but again people will never buy Yaris over Corolla. In that money one can get a Corolla.

People prefer to go with goodies like push start, Climate control over a bigger better car. Elantra 1.6 and Corolla 1.6 are better buyes over City Aspire and Yaris 1.5 any day.

Just that in 2022, These cars were almost readily avalilbe while Corolla had a 6 to 8 month wait period. Later due to Tax slabs, Corolla got almost 9 lac pricier then the yaris.

More over Yaris 1.5 CVT is pricier then the Corolla 1.6 Manual now.

have you noticed. the faceover difference from GLI is 1.5 lac, byt from 1.3 Ativ is 8 lac. because these inuds morons know that most sold car is ativ. so they will fetch profit from 1.3 ativ category.

Bro that huge difference is because of Tax slab which is 25 percent for Ativ variant and 18 percent is for Gli variant because the base price of Ativ is now above 40 lac so its not totally indus fault.
