The price for top model is rightly placed but it should not increase otherwise it won't be worth it.

CVT 1.3 gli should have been a little less. May be around 24.5.

A question for auto experts, isn't CVT with infinite gear ratios more efficient and smooth? How does just fixing it to 7 speed help?

2843000 for top of the line is the sweet spot, oh btw city fan boys need to put city vs yaris to rest as the city is 12 years old now....if honda manages to introduce new city with new assembly line, they would definitely price the new city way above yaris.

Also honda auto trannys are absolutely rubbish, i wouldn't use it for a day.

The top of the line yaris has more goodies thn the 1.6 altis

With civic and grande I think they should have employed dct . So the 7 speed will make the driving experience a bit better.?

Any idea why the BHP is so low in yaris? I heard somewhere that in determining torque the crank shaft length is very important. So we should assume that yaris engine is a bit smaller than Honda city engine.?

I can't help but point out that u seem like a person who is invested in failure of Yaris. This CVT has been here, through Indus motors, for at least the past 6 years, and there have not been any premature failures as of now. CVT transmissions in Vitz, Belta etc predate that.If anything, Honda's DCT in Vezel and Fit has had a lot of issues. Yaris is a Toyota, and most probably, it is going to continue on without any issues, like the previous Toyotas. Also, I am not sure where you found out the weight of Yaris as heavier than that of a City. As per my knowledge, the Yaris in other markets is lighter than the City, by a good 100kg or so. Even though I don't think it makes much of a difference.
