Good summary. If I'd have to save money I'd go for the base 1.33 CVT. Or else stick to the 1.5 ATIV CVTI, Fingers crossed. Used is no option for me. I have spent alot of time looking for a used 1600 Altis 2017-2018. Every car has its issues or out of my range

Well if you compare base 1.33 CVT with 1.33 Ativ cvt then you are getting things worth more than 125K in just 80K plus 1.33 CVT will have bad resale in future as compared to ativ cvt 1.3

Bas ji waqt waqt ki baat hai. Sold my 2018 Altis 1.6 in super white with Oem spoiler and bodykit just 10K driven for 2670/- last year in February. And sold Civic Oriel 1.8 in 2018 May for 2910/- just 12K driven with many many extras like 18s bodykit etc

It's just a artificial panic. My uncle got 2019 June Corolla brand new parked at toyota hiway or toyota society. Because they didnt sell.

So ek dam koi shortage nae hojaegi. Showroom people are being idiots only. Let things settle it's just a car month earlier or a month later you will get it.

Suzuki has also only managed to sell 29000 Alto cars in almost an 9 months now. Which I have a feeling definetly sales more then the Yaris.

Yes Corolla had a combined higher sales then any other vehicle in pakistan, but I guess buying power has changed.

I have a feeling Yaris wont be a taxi favorite. TAXI owners will move to Altis 1600 manual. Yaris basic spec 1.33 would be a careem favorite.

Taxi owner won’t spend 30+ on a car just for a rent purpose. GLI 1.3 manual will be hot favorite for them.

This high compression ratio might lead to knocking with regular quality fuel as most local cars have 10.5 cr and still experience knocking sometimes on regular fuel. the 1.33l engine also comes with lower 10.5 cr for indonesia i think and that is more likely being used in pakistan as they are quoting 98hp which is the hp of 10.5cr and 99hp is for the 11.5cr version. the 1.5 is definitely disappointing as the hp and torque difference is very low compared to the difference of city 1.5 and 1.33.

Well personally saw the car today 1.5 Ativ X

Interior is way ahead of old corolla
It has features like hill assist, sports mode, VSA traction control which will beat all its competitors. I think even 1.6 altis may not be full value for money any more
The size of the car is ok, six inch less in length from old corolla and about three inch less in width. Can not be called small car, something in between city and corolla.
The sound system is great
7 speed CVT will kill GLi and City users hearts, balkay 1.6 altis walay bhi kafi tension mein aye ga features dekh kay
smart entry, kia baat hay
alloy wheels are decent but 16 inch hotay tou kia baat thi
Climate Control is also a new addition in this price range

The car looks much better actually than what it looks like in pictures

Sir, i respect your opinion, but 1.5 is much better a deal.

You miss great features in 1.3 variant.

One, the display panel, in this day and age a car without back camera and screen is not acceptable at all. Then again you can mirror link google maps. You also get 6 speakers.

Two, smart entry... why use key when u have the smart option, i think due to this single factor it would be impossible to sell your 1.3 Ativ.

The interior feel is altogether different in 1.5, the 1.3 variant has painted door knobs while 1.5 has chrome plated, similary gear knob is quite simplistic in 1.3

1.5 has further been blessed with Multi Information Display which single handedly knocks out the 1.3 variant

I suggest that if you don't have a financial constraint, buy 1.5 ativ.
1.3 versions lacks the basic needs of today, i.e. you add that after market and your warranty gets void... with the sort of competition coming it would be difficult to sell the stripped variants.

1.3 ativv may also be not as good on fuel average as the 1.5 variant. Then again on motorway you will miss the sports mode and eco mode on congested road...

I would suggest, rethink

what I drove in dubai the only yaris avalible there is a basic 1.5L car

The basic car has a simple audio player 2 din, Bluetooth, aux, reverse parking sensors, cruise control. Not even alloy wheels.

These are the basic necessities not climate control, and shashkas, yes retractable side view mirrors would have added a cherry on top.

Sir the point is that nothing gets made in Pakistan, each n every button, lever and knob is imported. With the sort of duty structure we have, adding all this would add to car cost beyond affordability.

Sir i dont know what year were you there in Dubai, then again in Dubai, Yaris wont be a car worth as much to them as it is to us... bhai 2.5 to 3 Million is a big amount for Pakistanis.

I remember when i was in America, the lady who came in to do the dusting in my house drove a Mercedes SLK GTR.

For people in dubai Yaris would be something like FX in Pakistan
