Cars haven't been selling very well, but on the other hand a 1600 altis is selling for 200k premium, a revo for 500k premium.

Our currency is so shit that all these prices seem high.

What about Grande? Are they selling on premiums as well? Ppl in Karachi are asking 38 lakhs for their 20-25k km used Grande(s). Would it be wise to buy it at this time? Or the new one, kinda leaning towards a brand new. What do you think?

Different people have different opinions, Id say hold your horses let things normalize a bit, then decide if paying 38 then why not add a little more and get a brand new one.

Im really not sure if grande has premium or not, for now everything will have premium pricing but its useless since you cannot transfer a car these days. Rather getting into a shady deal better to wait

Isn’t a new one for 39 lac on road? 20-25k mileage in an year or two and asking price above invoice price isn’t justified in my opinion. I had to wait 2 months for my 1.6 when it was for 25.74 lac, you should be able to get a 37 lac car earlier due to less demand.

Maybe. Some are still selling their black colored ones cheaper for 33-34 lakhs. Super White sellers are the ones that demand a little high. I might be a complete idiot to consider a new one in such times of inflation. I need to rethink.

Would advise u to go for 2018 FL grande slightly used (less than 30k kms on the odo) come around 32-34.5 in Karachi as Lahore and ISB registered cars are more expensive if u really want one, buying a brand new wouldnt make any sense at this time in Pakistan

How much have they lifted the Yaris exactly? Is it more than the regular Corolla height? Ppl could drop it a bit. What if a slight side-impact hit will flip the car over as it seems like a very likely incident.

Toyota could have at least offered side skirts and mud flaps to mask the ugly lifted wheel arches, even as an after-sale option.

I sold my Altis 1.6 June 2019 invoice 2.5k driven for 31.80 (isb registered) back in start of feb.
With that bought a 2017 Civic X 20k driven for 32.50

That’s highly unfair. I think article wrongly mentions that last price hike was when USD to PKR was 150; I think it was at 165 when prices increased by 6 lac including FED and never came down. Yaris prices however were revealed when exchange rate was at 155 so that’s unfortunate.

Mine was March invoiced(khi registered) I did the same bought 2018 Civic oriel (UG) 23k driven , white . Best decision.

I test drove Yaris ativ 1.5 CVT on 20th March(Couldn't make a proper video unfortunately). Some assessments however:
1 Drive was a little bumpy (Probably due to high ride clearance)
2 Climate control , Infotainment system worked fine. Steering control switches makes it easier for the driver.
3 The arm rest position was a bit off but according to the dealership owner it will be adjusted before they launch it again after this Covid ends. (So that's good)
4 Tyres were BG Trako plus (185/60/15) in all the variants irrespective of "Taaap aaf da lane" or basic variant. I test drove it for a good 15 min and they were a little noisy(as all general Tyres are).

Conclusion from my end is the Yaris 1.3 Ativ at 26.05 lac is the best best buy if u are not into the taap of the line variant thing.
