This is just bizarre by IMC as a business decision, being into a small business can understand the situation but still doesn't make sense.
Fine, dollar has gone up, but how much are you getting effected by that? Would you care to share?
Yeah sales are down due to multiple factors, but how can you kill many potential sales of not yet launched product, surely you did some research and introductory pricing wasn't getting you negative margins. You can sacrifice parts of profit margin to keep things rolling in this time & situation, may be you wouldn't need to downsize and shut down plants if you keep some sales going. But why are you hell bent on squeezing every penny out of your customer pocket.
This doesn't make sense as business decision. Its beyond me. I will definitely find more excuses to jack up the price an year down the line, its after all Pakistan. But right at the launch price hike, what you think you are untouchable brand? This won't last forever, already lot of ground has been shifted under the big 3 and it will shift more and more every year.
Sorry lot more to rant about but enough for now. After months of hype now I feel Yaris should fail (lol rant time feeling)
I believe we deserve better answers there should be some way of making them accountable may be in consumer courts. At least explain the bloody process what is driving their pricing process consumer has the right to know.
