For many people like me, upgrading of a vehicle is a step by step process
Step 1: Build up some savings or arrange the bank's financing.
Step 2: Sale your current vehicle.
Step 3: Book the new car or search your desired vehicle in used cars' market.
Step 4: Wait for the delivery period (In Pakistan, a reasonably featured and priced car is always going to have a delivery period)
All these steps may take months and during intervening period, you are more than probably without vehicle. It's not as simple as to buy a car like breathing in and out. It requires planning, alot of discussions among family/friends and then alot of effort to buy or sell the car in the used car's market. Therefore, price stability of new cars is a MUST before engaging into any such activity. With a lac increased here and there by the company, it becomes way too difficult to achieve something you have planned at the offset.
I don't want to spread negativity but in the times like these (lock down and uncertainty), one just don't want to be caught/surprised in middle of something. One should have a sure/reliable and a working condition vehicle available at his disposal. This is exactly why I am of an opinion to retain your current vehicle if it is not giving you any problems and if giving problem, get it rectified.
So, in my opinion; let the lock down end and things start to get normal. Then one should do whatever he wants to.
Its for the certain set of people who have tight budgets and some financial constraints.
