Soon after this glacier it started to rain.
slow but steady.
the track became slippery and risky, especially the part where first we has to ascend and then a steep descend. Raheel bhai who was wearing sandals because of his injured foot slipped quite a few times and the last part of the trek really started to become a struggle.
Because of the rain i couldn't take many pictures after this. finally we reached the purbi naar crossing where we had to cross purbi naar. by the time raheel bhai, imran bhai and me reached the crossing, the remaining members had crossed the stream. water level had risen because of the rain, and everyone was crossing it on horses. raheel bhai first sat on the horse, the water level was rising by every second and the horse was a weak one. right in the middle of the stream, the horse jumped sideways and raheel bhai lost his balance on the horse, he was coming down slowly, falling from the horse, it all looked to be happening in slow motion, the horse'e legs were soon in the air and down came raheel bhai into the water with the horse. The water was in flow, all of us were worried, it looked like a serious situation but raheel bhai casually stood up, and signalled towards the other members k ''photo khichi k nai?''
anyhow he completed the rest of the crossing on foot. next went imran bhai on a stronger horse and crossed the stream safely.
Now i was left on the other side, the water was rising as always, and the horsemen refused to take me to the other side saying that it was dangerous and they wont risk their horses. i offered them double the amount but they refused. soon a few other ppl also came who were coming back from dudi. a few khachar walas also arrived but they weren't willing to take anyone to the other side. they said just wait, but i was tensed as there was no sign of the water level to decrease. i feared that if the water level increases then we would be stranded. soon another tourist and myself decided that we will cross the stream holding each others hands. as soon as we were about to go into the water, two men, whom our guide had sent from the other side asked us to hold their hands. they took us with them to the other side and finally the adventure was over
it lasted for almost half an hour where i stood at the other side and my team kept on waiting for me on the far side.
It was still Raining.
Finally saw the road at 5:21pm.
When i reached the doli, a person told me that apkay sath jo ek banda tha usko Allah nay bohat bachaya hai.
Salman bhai will quote the exact incident.
Our trip had been going very smooth until in the last hour or so these three incidents happened. The last one being the most dangerous. But Alhumdulillah the trek had finished and all of us were safe and sound. except for the aching bodies
