Tracker & Phone - a Device tested

This sounds really interesting.

I have been using a particular tracker company for the last 6 years and of late am extremely unhappy with its service.

Initially, it was super duper efficient. Now for the last 2 years it has been .....

Anyway, I did a market survey and realised it is better to just put a SIM in the car than rely on these people.

But listen, if someone picks up the car and you want to jam it, does it work? Or is it only for location tracking?

Can you please clarify whether this device works when a gsm jammer is activated?

it dies out with jammer - but when car goes under basement & jammer is disconnected, IF there is GSM signal available GPS will also go LIVE. where as tracker company units need sky to get GPS working

It is a good device as I was the person who recieved the alerts and links on my smart phone. Taping the link lead to the location the SMS was sent from.

As I never knew that @capsat has punched my number in his device so recieving the location SMS made me worried, thought to reply but fear again came considering the law and order situation of his city.

I have used tracker in my car in Islamabad and it had same feature what this device have, except the engine kill option.

It is correct the device is for location only no connection for disarming.

Fuel theft - device was programmed to send sms every 180 sec (3 minutes) friend monitored vehicle movement for few days, 1 stop was made at a point between school & home for 21 minutes at random days & when tank was topped up in the morning. he deployed a watch over the point a road side cabin garage for bikes and caught the car & driver red handed for stealing fuel using a custom made rubber pipe connected to pump, the garage owner being ' from same pind ' were buying it at Rs. 50 per litre & selling at 65 in bottles ( Petrol was Rs. 80+ during that time ). Place is sealed & "pind da yar" is under criminal case for stealing from Govt property, selling inflammable fuel, etc etc etc the driver is put under quarter guard for trial under own system.
