Transmission oil change of Toyota Vitz/Belta/Passo/ (K410 Transmission)

If you read the last column - it says the vehicle was not stabilized when the calibration was being done, e.g. car was not straight or doors were being closed or the car was on a jack or something was causing it to be off center and vibrate.

The acceleration sensor is used to detect and verify that the vehicle body is actually accelerating and not just the wheel speed sensors are fooling the ECU. This is critical in CVT as the ECU has to release and lock the torque converter clutch many times during a normal drive cycle, whenever you put your foot into it, the TCC unlocks. Without proper feedback your car will run like mash potatoes (without salt)

A bearing is making noise in my cvt trany vitz. What do you think would it be the bearing only or a big kharcha?

Mechanic took a drive turned off while in moving position the noise went. So he suggested 1 day job. Transmission would come off and bearing change.

ANY suggestions?

I am feeling my car CVT driving become sluggish or jerking more when i drive aggressively means rapidly acceleration and deceleration may be this is normal or may be this is due to P1589 i will go to my mechanic this weekend and request to perform Deceleration sensor zero point calibration first and then CVT Calibration then i will drive 1 to 2 days to see results.

This is my guess i think mechanic didn't perform Deceleration Sensor zero point calibration and only perform CVT Oil Pressure calibration that's why P1589 DTC store in ECU and shows as current DTC.

i have changed transmission oil of my Vitz 2009, mechanic have opened the screw embossed TC on it and filled Toyota CVT-TC 08886-02105 complete 4 litre in this port. ................. is this wrong port as mentioned in this thread? if worng what to do now.... please help me experts .... i am confuse after seeing this thread.

did u measured how much was drained out of transmission. - did you also cleaned the transmission oil filter.

check transmission oil at dead cold in morning before key-in if oil level is higher [ over ] at cold mark means it is over filled, u may need to drain ONLY approx 200 ml from the transmission.

no need to worry there is nothing wrong, over filled can be drained and always be cautios.

over filling of transmission / engine oil is not recommended.

Thanks for quick response, Transmission Chamber was washed and also changed transmission filter. Drained oil was measured and it was 3.6 litr.

Please help me, how can i check level of transmission oil as their is no transmission oil gauge in Vitz.

I seriously doubt about Transmission oil guage. - please post engine bay picture Transmission side of your car

you mean gauge to measure oil level?

there is - its in the sump and is the white overflow tube. The system is overflow type - meaning you park the car straight, star the engine, fill up the trans, warm up oil to between 35-45C - open drain plug and let extra oil flow out. If you dont get any flow out, fill some extra in the trans to allow a slight drain (1 drop/second)

tighten the plug and pack it up - the level is now correct

Where did you source transmission filter? Is it new?

Hi, I did change the trans oil at 80k approximately but some times I have slippage issues, not always and most of the time doing reverse!
The oil I used is an universal type TC cvt
I think Its probably low oil issues
Ive bought the OEM CVT but is the FE variant and im afraid to use it
What would be the differences between the TC and FE types???

kindly assist me .....my toyota vits has a problem off loosing drive ,it drives like a vehicle with a burned clutch plate i then checked the oil which was fine and then opened the oil chamber thinking that the filter might be dirty but it was fine though...after a couple of days the vehicle now has no drive i only have reverse please assist as i really don't know what the problem might be.
