Just adding my comments in your excellent thread.
There is a place up on mountain, right side of the Sost, it is famous for its irrigation system (tunnel based)

If I am not wrong, its name is sky gate! Did you go upstairs and felt what happened with your body weight due to its high altitude. This land cruiser was coming from China and I used it to reach Sost.

gIVE 1 day more for Fairymeadows , coz Nanga Parbat wont show its face so easily, i Mean u need to stay atleast for 3 days to explore all colors of Fairymeadows and beauty of the KILLLER MOUNTAIN (HRMN BOHL'S LOVE)... ... Morover if u get time must must vist RAMA LAKE, that is the other side of killer mountain and u can go on ur own vehicle as in case of Fairy Meadows of treking from RAIKOT BRIDGE or TATO .... In khunjerab park do look out for ibex/Mountain blue sheep/Urial . what people often do is go to Khunjerab border see some chines and turn back... enjoy the park yar. observe it from the road. u will spot some wild animals, for which the park is made (not to see the chinese at the b0rder).....

Dont spend too much money on buying chinese goods , as they are the same as availabke in rest of the country and almost same price.... u should get some geme and jewelry related to gems... very beautifull jewelry would be just available for less than 500rs per set, for urself buy some local caps made of PATU... buy dry fruits, SALAJIT ....
