Trekking recommendations (5-6 Days)

Hi All,

Looking to do 5-6 days trekking in Northern areas of Pakistan, it would be great if I can get some recommendations from the members.

Just to provide a bit of context in terms of my previous experience, I have done multiple multi-day mountain-hut to mountain-hut trekking trips in other countries plus some winter hiking too. So would prefer to do something similar, I am also fine with making one area as a base and doing daily treks in the surrounding region. Additionally I would like to avoid heavily snowed-in areas as I am in still in process of gathering winter gear

Thank you for reply. I actually up for anything which is for 5 - 6 days. I have gotten recommendations for Rush Lake and Ratti Gali for now. I was thinking about Kalash valley too

Look into Kumrat Valley too. Though it will be less crowded. Look for Kumrat Valley facebook page. it will have all info needed.

I will be travelling with my wife as we both hike together. Will Kumrat be okay given that ?

Nah in that case you should visit some well established tourist places. Kumrat is beautiful, but it still has underdeveloped infrastructure. Also, It's a bit deserted place so not as recommended for families/couples.
You can trek in Kashmir without any problems. Neelum valley has a lot to offer for trekkers.

yes as w r with family u shud not go for any pass (for a start) .. these treks to lakes are good.. ratti gali lake ka tu koi khas trek nai reh gia ab.. u must try chitta khatta lake trek .........

Do you mean pass as in a mountain pass ? My wife and I have done several high altitude mountain passes in other countries so I think that shouldn't be a problem in terms of physical fitness. Only thing to avoid for me is technical climbing which I don't know.

I have never done anything in Pakistan so everything is very new to me. Chitta Katha lake trek looked very nice and it was very beautiful too. Would you know how many days this trek is for ? Can you recommend something in Hunza valley too ?

yes i meant mountain pass.. well there r many many non tech passes here and if u guyz have experience in trekking over 4000 m then u can do many passes ...

chitta khatta lake starts from domail village in Shaunter Valley azad kashmir........ its a two day trek going up and one day return.. adding road journey u can do it in 6 dayz.... i know many women who have done this trek so ...... its also not very easy.. its steep climb........
