Day 11: 23rd June 2014

Today was Deosai day. Deosaii opening was quite uncertain even one day before. In skardu city we heard many news about deosai in different times regarding opening and closing.

Any ways after hushe we finalize to go deosai till the end of opened trek Or cross deosaii. Naeem bhai party also decided the same. so we moved from skardu early morning. Both drivers keep the jeeps together in order to avoid any mishap.

As we move on from satpara lake. the weather become darker and it started rain after some time.

The rain change into snow fall within no time..

We were very lucky to witness snowfall in june in deosaii. Our friends and family was surprised when we break this news to them after reaching gorikot in the evening.

Unfortunately our jeep's wiper got out of order. Visibility becomes zero, asghar took his head out of jeep and try to move on. it was too risky so we decided to stop some where. We found two huts few minutes back. so we return back.

We reached tourist hut. the staff and people stayed there welcome us with pleasure and tea.

Hot tea put energy to our cold blooded bodies..

We enjoyed almost 1 hrs very heavy snow fall.

After about 1 hr it stopped snow fall. we move on towards deosaii..

I requested asghar to let me drive the jeep. He agreed and i drove the jeep in Deosai for almost half an hour before bara pani. it was my big achievement to drive in Deosaii..

We reached rayekot around 12p.m. we booked a jeep from gilgit with the help of @Xoofi who would pick us from rayekot.
The jeep driver name is asghar. contact no 0341 8949114, 0311 5827459.

He is such a nice and friendly person. he helped us alot in entire tour regarding cost saving in food and hotels,
the concept of taking commission from hotel owner like, murree, naran etc can not be seen here.

when we reached rayekot, asghar was waiting for us, so we shifted the luggage and move on. From here our 10 days jeep safari starts..
