ATM will only be available in big cities like astore, skardu,gilgit,hunza(aliabad).
electricity is available almost every where with load shedding, except deosaii.
mobile networks also work in big towns like astore, skardu,gilgit, hunza,khaplu,gorikot.
in Rama and FM PCO service is also available.

Hunza is the one of the very few places in Pakistan where literacy rate is 100% and crime rate is 0%

Agreed with xoofi... hunza is one of the safest place in all over pakistan.. very calm and pleasant place. u should definitely go there with family..

Nice thread brother. I was also in and around Tarshing during June 22 to 25 but our paths could not cross. I wanted to drive Corolla all along to Tarshing but this glacier also shattered my plan and have to park it at Chorit. Tarshing is indeed a beautiful place and I would like to visit again

yes u r rite, we were also very disappointed to see this glacier. after one hour of trekking and then rainy weather could not make us able to enjoy as much as we can. i will also plan to visit tarshing again in future..

Yes a couple of days were rainy and I could not try visiting Rupal. Rama was fascinating and we stayed at pwd rest house. Views from its lawn was simply breathtaking.

Sir Great Trip. Really amazing a complete trip in every sense. Can you kindly guide on the return from Fairy meadows to raikot bridge, is there any public transport available for Hunza or Sakardu or one has to book a jeep to get from raikot to hunza/sakardu. This private jeep is very expensive. is there some public transport available. Secondly you guyz reached Raikot around 6pm that's why you have to stay for night. Isnt there some transport that drops you raikot early morning. Last but not least, we 2 guyz are planning to walk from Raikot till all the way to FM. I know its tough but not impossible. You think its doable? thanks in advance

thanks dear for your kind words. as far as ur questions are concerned.

Public transport on raikot bridge is rarely available. u may have to wait long. i m not confirm about the timings because we had hired jeep from raikot to all the way long.

u have to manage ur time such that u reach raikot bridge in morning. i suggest one should stay night at chilas and then move to raikot in the morning by hiring taxi.

Nothing is impossible my friend. u can do it but its quite tough path with no water, no shade, no tree and burning heat of sun on your faces but again decision is always urs..
even here in pakwheels some one also did this trek from raikot to FM. dont remember the name..

share ur rough travel iternity showing no of days. u can also use regular travel service from pindi to gilgit. contact asghar jeep driver. tell him ur travel plan. give him my refrence mansoor from karachi.

Here is proposed itinerary with the help of Naeem Bhai @jauharabad (Route Sketch)

Lahore - Islamabad - Skardu (arrival at 3p.m.)
Skardu> Shangrilla > Khaplu > Hushe
Hushe > Shigar > Desert > Sakardu
Sakardu > Deosai > Tarshing
Tarshing > Rama > Astore
(Departure in the Morning) Astore > Islamabad > Lahore

I think Natco Coaster goes daily from Astore to Pindi. What about the stay in Tarshing?

I think a Jeep Wala in Skardu will be better. We can also arrive / get back from Gilgit or Astore.
