Dewan-e-Khas restaurant is the only restaurant in Skardu offering delicious food in an acceptable environment. The restaurant is part of the hotel/ guesthouse with 9 rooms which is owned by Musa Khan a guy with various talents such as cook, photographer, tour guide, etc. who runs the restaurant and guest house with his 3 brothers. One of the brothers is in charge of the kitchen and produces tasty Pakistani and Chinese dishes. During my stay in Skardu I had the mouthwatering Dewan-e-Khas soup, trout, a beef dish, fish from the sea, and the Tandori bread which they produce in their own Tandori oven, all dishes were cooked to perfection. Order the herbal tea, it has a fantastic aroma. The restaurant caters to large groups too, it seems that whoever likes to enjoy good food visits this restaurant. A big TV screen shows the news provided by local channels as well as BBC, CNN and Al Jazeera. Ask Mr. AYUB to show his documentary with the 6-7 giant mountains
