No filters or editing whatsoever! So that Natural and real colours are shown, instead of photoshopped and filtered ones which are away from reality.

Planned the trip myself, with the help of my companions. It was a family trip. We were 3 families from Karachi stayed at Gabral. Later 2 families from Faisalabad also joined for a couple of days. Only us (6 years son, 8 years daughter, better half, and I) crossed over to Kumrat Valley via Badhgoi Pass while rest returned from Lower Swat as per the Plan.

We took a lot of local support and took full advantage of Gujjar, Kohistani, and Pushtoon hospitality.

Kharkhari is an almost straight trek on Gabral road, jeepable till the end. From the point till where Fielders (Waaghee) go, it is hardly 1 hour.

From Gulabad village, where we stayed, it would be no more than 2 hours for expert trekkers like you.

Janab we stayed with locals and used their kitchen for food, which didn't cost much. We stayed at one place for one week, got a goat sacrificed first thing which cost us 10,000.

Road conditions are good till Bahrain, afterwards it is tough but a friend's family in Corolla made it all the way to Upper Gabral.

Badghoi crossing, Swat to Dir, is 4x4 only, and tough, can be done with care.

Places around Kalam are Mahodand Lake. There are meadows around which require strenuous trekking.

From Atror, a village near Kalam, you can hire a Jeep for Shahi Bagh and Kharkhari Lake.
