Trip to Islamabad and Khewra Salt Mines

The experience was good. Coming from Islamabad took the Lillah interchange to visit Khewra. It is approximate 30 minutes drive from there. The road is in ok condition. It is a single road. You take left from Pind Dadan Khan and reach khewra.

The tour train which takes you inside the cave malfunctioned (it derailed) so I decided to walk. It is not a long walk and you can visit the cave and return to the exit in around 4 KM. I carried my own water bottle but you will find snacks and food inside the cave as well. I am posting more pics of the cave. It is a nice place to visit atleast once.
