Brother I did Family trip last year on my city 2015 let me give you some tips because you are with traveling with family and vehicle is Mehran so breaks are essential.

Day 1: Leave LHR @ 4:00 AM and reached @ Abbotabad till 12:00 PM
Take 2 hours break
recommended stay Options are Hotel Demanchi or Hotel One on main highway
also pre-book your room using their account number Contact # 0333-5040543 Mr Sajid Manager
Visit Ilyasi mosque and shimla Pahari same day , come to hotel around 9:00 pm get some sleep

Day 2:
Get your tank Full
Leave Abbotabad @ 4:00 AM and reached @ Naran till 11:00 AM
Get your tank full from balakot
Check in to Hotel Siam Jheel road contact # 0322-9800047 pre book using their account number
Get some rest eat lunch and explore Naran bazar

Day 3:
Getup early
Contact Shafique Local drive contact # 0346-9611130 and book jeep for Saiful malook
Spend 3-4 hours there and its better to take food with you

Day 4:
Getup early
Contact Shafique Local drive contact # 0346-9611130 and book jeep for Babusar Top
It will take 7-8 hours round trip and on the way Stop At Jhalkad and LuluSar lake

Day 5:
Getup early
Leave Naran @ 9:00 AM and reached @ Shogran till 11:00 AM
Get some rest
Book jeep for Siri and Paye

Day 6:
Getup early
Leave Shogran @ 7:00 AM and reached @ lahore till 5:00 PM

Traveling time range i given is maximum considering short stays and i strongly recommend short stays

Brotherly advice
How much they resist Dont let your kids to go near river Bank keep 10 feet distance from water
There will be water streams all the way between Balakot and Naran some time there are too slippery
There are pharmacies in Naran but its better to keep Antibiotics and other medicines e.g (klaricid for throat infection,cyproxin for stomach infection and lower body , Immodiuim for dieria, motilium for nausea , esomega for acidity e.t.c)
diapers for one week if child is infant
Powdered Milk if child is specific to brand e.g migi,Morenaga
Bottle warmer
Electric kettle
Always Use mineral water which is available in Naran
Clean Bed sheets or Blankets if you are hygine conscious
Dont use Towel provided by hotels
Bottles of Detol very helpful to clean toiletries if mixed with water

Ride check before Travel
Check for radiator or gasket leaks which Mehran is known for
All belts AC,generator e.t.c
AC Gas leakage and functioning
Wheel balance and alignment
Sun Shades rear and passenger side
Battery, generator and all Belts
Engine oil leaks on tappets or from seal area
Break Pads,Drums and Disks
Mehran Fuse
All 4 tires and stepney for punctures or check if there are any cracks
Battery water

Bhai Batakundi is 15km ahead from Naran??
How is the road?
Name of the hotel or any number available??
PS. Any economical cottages there for 2 families
Planming to go between 14 to 16July
Any idea what whould be the rush conditions??

I am going on the same dates and some research from the forums suggests that getting a hotel before or after Naran will be economical. Someone mention Pine Tracks hotel which is 1 KM before Naran so I will first check that and then check others inside Naran.
In case you do find more information about hotels in Batakhundi then please let me know too.

U can find more economical hotel in kaghan than naran and batakundi

Aoa brother. Batakundi is 15 KM but 45 mins drive due to terrain. You may get earlier but all depend on traffic and road condition. There is no communication available from Nara onwards till Chilas, no cell phone and no landline either so please take this into account.

First hotel you get in batakundi sea side guest house. Mr shahid the manager is very helpful and accommodating. I stayed there with my family in fully furnished room for 6,000 on 29 June last week. You may get same room on cheap rate if you reach earlier. Next one is New lalazar. You may get room for 3-4000 Rs without any trouble. Location and hotels are comfortable and nearest to main road.

And Batakundi kiya chotha sa town hai?? Or nd electricity wagiera hai??
Is ka elwa or koiyi hotels bhi hein??
I hope Batakundi will be less rushy as im looking forward for less trouble

Batakundi is just a small town ahead of Naran with few guest rooms and motels but very scenic and free from crowd as compare to Naran.

There are about 30 to 40 hotels im naran area.You can get rooms now as the rush has gradually decreased
