So it was just two bikes that went? Hats off to you guys, i can imagine how tiring it must be! I just brought my bike back from nathiagali to islamabad & i was tired as hell afterwards.

As a matter of principle bikes shouldnt be driven after dark on any, specifically mountain roads. May Allah SW keep you safe. In this particular situation you could turn back to Gilgit or the lovely small town Pari just a few kms from the Skardu turn.
