Trip To Skardu, Khaplu, Shigar n Deosai

so Rizwan bhai, i hope you can guide me with this.

I intend to travel to this part, would prefer my own car as much as possible.
Please guide which of the following have a fair road track for sedans:
1. Raikot bridge to Astore
2. Gilgit to Skardu
3. Skardu to Upper/Lower kachure
4. Gilgit to atta'baad lake

Also guide the mode of transport for the following:
1. Skardu to Khaplu
2. Skardu to Shigar
3. Skardu to Satpara lake
I guess the above 3 are all jeep tracks.

Above all tracks including last 3 are drive-able for sedans. However road condition is not very good. You must be drive carefully as road is very narrow.

Our next stop is Khaplu. We reach around 9 Pm. It was cold, So we took out our jackets to welcome winter Next morning we start walk for Khaplu Palace. Some pictures on the way to Palace.

Heard that skardu had some snow falling few days back, roads are clear during snow and what would be the coldest place among all? I will be having my son with me who's under 3 years of age.

well i hav seen the Shangrilla Hotel-CHILAS pic in your thread,
Mind sharing its double-bed room rent?

Hotel Mushabrum-SKARDU is 4500/night as u mentioned,
In terms of facilities is it better than the Chilas one?

Any pics for the hotel mushabrum and the one in khaplu?

And pleeease mention the travel time from Skardu to shigar & skardu to khaplu.

Nothing special ... i rate both hotels equal

No. I don't have any picture for both hotel rooms but u will find some pictures of location in travelogue soon. Stay tuned.
