I tried my best to make it as simple as possible for beginners. Experts already know this..

it is not a hard and fast rule to set lpf/hpf at 80 hz. it depends on how low ur comps' woofer can play. if ur comps can go down to 63hz easily then set the hpf/lpf on 63 hz. this will help bringing the sound to front. u dont want to overlap the freqs cos then u will have two different components of different cone area and specs playing the same freqs and that will muddy up the sounds as u mentioned. u also dont want to leave a gap in the freqs tho i think that a gap of 10hz is negligible as the crossovers do not cut off the freqs above or below abruptly... there is a roll off and 10 hz will fall in between that. but yes there will be a difference in freqs as the freqs in the missing band will not play at the same level as other freqs.

Maddy bhai couple of more things:

1. What is the best hpf for D1002R, can i play them at 80hz
2. While setting the gains for my sub (NV) how can i know that the signal is now clipped or distortion is introduced. When i increase the gains from amp, the sub goes on and on without bottoming out and very limited excursion.

1. I cant really say. Never heard em play. 80hz is a good point to start. Change ot up n down and see where it sounds good and set it there

2. This tutorial is for setting up ur system for best output. Best sub output is where the sub frequencies do not drown out other freqs. That is why you set the sub amp gain after u have set the othe gains so that music is well balanced and certain frequencies are not over powering.

It can easily justified,when sub is overplaying.....for best using of Nv without clipping signals,Turn the loud off from pre and turn the bass boost 0 from amplifier....!

In that way there are pretty less chances for sub to play on unclipped signals,But songs matter too in this case!

Maddy bhai can tell u best but i think insulate the wires properly. its because of radio waves interference with speaker coils or wires

i am afraid (or i m not aware of) there is no way to minimize the gsm buzz short of keeping ur mobile away from ur speakers. it has been quiet a while since i heard the tutuu tutuu tutuuu.... but then my cell is mostly in my pocket when i drive.

Baffle is the face you mount the sub or speakers on. double baffle means that the baffle is two sheets of mdf instead of one like for example if the box is 0.75", the baffle will be 1.5". this gives rigidity to the box and allow you to flush mount the sub.

Polyfill is actually polyester sheet used in "vicky razai". you can get it from the guy who sells laces, ribbons and other stuff used in female stitching. you line the enclosure with it. what it does is that it absorbs the back waves of the sub and the sub behaves as if it is in a bigger box. this is used primarily in sealed boxes.

I was reading on google that its because of the electric resonance, and we can decrease its intensity by insulating the wires and make sure no wire is naked which is carring a signal

my observation is that the sound comes when the mobile is near speakers and not the wires. if it was with wires then the wires are already insulated, they are running under the door sills. good rca wires are shielded against such things. you can run the wires in a duct if u want to add insulation to them.

Yeah been searching on google myself and found nothing, but thanks for the response, funny thing is when i installed the system in the beginning there was no GSM buzz, but then once i took it off cause i was doing some insulation work under the carpet, re installed everything and for some reason now it wont go away, anyways ill see if i manage something. check the wires again. wrap em in aluminum foil and see if the buzz goes away
