Sir what do you recommend then, apart from Burnees as there charge out rates are highest (surely justified) and the biggest problem is their time frame which is not negotiable ?

For a new car that does not matter but for a 20 years old car, rates matter more then a paint job.

If your car is an import and has a "exotic" color, you should never consider giving it to anyone else except Wahid (Burnees). What he charges is worth it. Every single dealer of expensive imported cars get their cars fixed/resprayed from him because his job is that good.

The second painter I'd pick (ruling out all the dealerships, whether its Toyota or Honda) is Yazdani. Their job is usually good but you need to scrutinize your car very carefully once you get it back to ensure there are no defects. They work fast and good but the fastness often results in issues. Although I've had my fair share of bad experience with them but its nothing compared to the terrible jobs at Honda South and other places.

There is one other guy in Gizri, he's got two booths (now) and his shop is called Zai. I've had work done from him and its pretty good. His work is good but I don't like the location.

I Drive my car daily to kaemari and back into the city and i can imagine the paint fading away soon.

There is a device called "Paint Thickness Meter"
It is used to check the thickness of paint film on any metallic body using Electromagnetic waves. It is completely harmless for the paint. The way to use it is to place its probe on the painted body and within few seconds the paint thickness is displayed on the screen of the meter. I personally used this device to check paint thickness of oil storage tanks and oil pipelines when I used to work in an Oil Refinery.
The most authentic way to check if car is repainted is to check the paint thickness at different locations of the car....Genuine paint wont have any differnce but repaint and filling will give a very big variation from the rest of the car's body......

True, it is the best way, this device is called an elcometer and measures thickness of paint to micron(1/1000 of a mm), no paint job can hide from this device.

I will be grateful to you if you can share the number of that guy at Gizri and suggest what time and cost I should negotiate to get a complete baked paint (no dent) job done.

The paint code is NH 512 (white), will he be able to get a paint match or should I buy my own color (Seiken etc) ?

If its a white colored Accord, then Yazdani will be more suitable. Mr. Zai will charge you about as much as Burnees will plus he too has an attitude.

I suggest you give Yazdani visit; if you still want to goto Zai, I'll update this thread with his number shortly.
