KARACHI: Hajiano wanted in over 30 criminal cases, court told

KARACHI, Feb 6: A district and sessions court on Friday dismissed an application challenging the detention of a suspect, Ali Mohammad Hajiano, after it was informed that the suspect was wanted in over 30 cases of robbery, murder, attempt to murder and rape.

Ali Mohammad Hajiano along with his accomplice, Umair Khan, was arrested recently after an encounter with police in the Defence area.

The suspect’s father, Gul Mohammad Hajiano, moved the application before the District and Sessions Judge (south), Fahim Ahmed Siddiqui, alleging that his son, Ali Mohammad, had been in the illegal custody of Gizri police station.

When the hearing began on Friday, police officials appeared in court and submitted a detailed report of crimes allegedly committed by the suspect.

The court was told that the crimes committed by the suspect were of serious nature and the law enforcers arrested him after an encounter and also seized an unlicensed weapon.

According to the report, suspect Ali Mohammad was involved in more than 30 different cases of robbery, murder, attempt to murder and rape.

The court dismissed the application.

Meanwhile, the police produced Ali Mohammad Hajiano and his accomplice, Umair Khan, before the courts of four different judicial magistrates in different cases.

The suspects were remanded in judicial custody till Feb 20.

Charge-sheets submitted against Hajiano

Charge-sheets in more than 30 cases were submitted against Muhammad Ali Hajiano before four different courts of the South district by the Darakhshan, Clifton and Gizri Police.

The charge-sheets were submitted before Judicial Magistrate Umar Awan, Saeed Noor Khan, Shaikh Farooq and Ashraf Hussain Khawaja and included allegations of armed robbery, rape, mobile phone snatching etc.

A charge-sheet was also submitted before East Judicial Magistrate Shabbir Ahmed Channa, under section 13-E of the Arms Ordinance.

saw it on aaj tv last night regarding this whole episode . this bas.... said he has no regrets of what he has done to those women . Said he is only answersble to Allah . WTF !!!! together with his father proving his son is innocent . Such fathers shamelessly defend their sons . I wish i could do something after this program was over . I just pray to Allah to lessen the pains all those women must have suffered .

This bbq tonight controversy was also first denied by police that it ever took place . I just pray our justice gives this maniac justice which he truly deserves .

Bullet-riddled body of lawyer’s son found

KARACHI: Police found the bullet-riddled body of a man, who was later identified as the son of a Sindh High Court lawyer, on Friday.

Ibrahim Hyderi police found Yasir, 32, son of Sindh High Court lawyer Gul Muhammad Hajiano, from the bushes near Ilyas Goth.

Station House Officer (SHO) Adnan Shah said the residents of the area informed them about the body. According to the deceased’s father, Yasir had gone out on Thursday evening. He was resident of DHA and the father of a minor child.

The police further said that unidentified men kidnapped and later killed the victim and threw away his body in the jurisdiction of Ibrahim Hyderi police station.

Duty Officer Malik Zameer said that the victim’s brother Ali Mohammad Hajiano was arrested a year ago in the ‘White Corolla case’ in the Gizri police station.
