Check the driving door side there will be sticker mentioning the recommended tyre pressure. do that.

AOA, I am searching for new tires for my car Cultus 2007.
I am using Bridgestone TECHNO 175 70 R13 right now, these tires are hard, noisy, uncomfortable, and wear level is high. They ruin my whole suspension. Previously I used Dunlop SP Touring T1 those tires pretty good in all aspects.
Now I am confused about which brand I will go for this time.
Best Chinese or General Tires Euro Tycoon, Made in Pakistan.
Dunlop, Yokohama, Toyo, Cotinental, Maxxis, GT Radial, Nexen which one?

Priority area:
Comfortable
Low noise
Durable for our road

I travel almost every day to Rawalpindi from Wah Cantt. The condition of the GT road is not good, lots of potholes, concrete road.

General not worth it.
Dunlop, Yokohama, etc depends upon the budget.
Some Chinese Brands are good value for the money.
w.r.t Durability and comfort Dunlop will suit u better.
As for Chinese brand ThreeA, Rapid Trackmax are good brand to look for.

I recommend General Tires. They are cheap and rugged. The tires are made for our roads unlike foreign made tires especially Yoko and Michelin that are soft and puncture easily.

I think people bash all things made in Pakistan due to inferiority complex rather than performance. I have General Euro Star tires in my Suzuki car for 3 years (35k odo) and all the four tires mashallah are in acceptable condition. My route include rough roads and I have rarely experienced punctures.

In my other car that I had bought recently, I have Bridgestone tires and I don't feel any significant difference in road contact noise as compared to one with General tires. I intend to replace them with General in near term.

I calculated that I could buy 8 General tires at the price of 4 Bridgestone tires. If you are smart, I suggest you go for General as it will save a ton of money.

True that...there would be many haters of general tyres herr...I used general tyres on my city . The tyres from.company ran 57000 kms without problems and then at first change i again used genral fir 58000 kms...includes city and long tours both

I have been using Michelin Energy XM2 on the rough roads of Multan for the past 3 years with 0 punctures. Stop spreading rumours that they puncture easily on 'our roads'. Difference of Michelin and General is huge in terms of comfort and noise. You instantly feel a difference after shifting from General to a good tyre. This is not a placebo effect as I compared my 2 civics few years back.

Yes using Michelin for more than 5 years now. The only puncture i got was once due to big bent wire on road. On the other hand my friend's yokos that were bought 3 years ago had 7 punctures all while driving within Lahore.

And recently when i upgraded my tyres, the shopkeeper bought old ones for 2k per tyre

What model Michelin tires do you recommend in 185 or 195/65/R15?

I personally always go for 195.65R15 as price difference is not much and its slightly better in terms of looks, grip and braking.

One more thing. The legally imported ones are XM2. There are many smuggled ones available in market never buy those. Search this forum or over google for Zafar enterprise (they are official importer of Michelin in Pakistan), they have a list of authorized dealers on their website for every city.
The other importer is tyrepoint but their prices are needlessly higher.

I again insist there is not much difference in term of road noise between General and foriegn brand tyres. Stop being a devils advocate and foolishly advise others to waste money on foreign tyres. I had Yoko, Dunlop, Bridgestone, and General tires.
Yoko is the worst on rough roads. Dunlop and Bridgestone are good but not vastly different than General Tyres.

It is nothing more than inferiority akhroti mentality that people waste money on foreign brand tires even when a cheaper desi version one is available. I believe it was this slave mentality of the masses that the British were able to rule here for two centuries.

I personally hope my post helps sensible persons in saving money on decent General tires rather than foolishly squandring money due to foolish advise of others to needlessly buy foreign tires..

i disagree with ahsanzs, General's XP 2000II are pretty good tyres, with decent grip and performance in both wet and dry conditions. I have used 185/65/14 and am currently using 165/80/13 on my 85 corolla. Recently went from karachi to naran and back on these tyres and drove in all sort of conditions without a prob. General tires are of exceptionaly gud quality, (for the price its offering) personaly i found General xp and euro glides better then the Dunlops lm701 tires. Had xps factory fitted, got Dunlops now back to Euro Glide tires. Using Yokos on my Vitz quite happy since 2 years, but i can surely say Generals are better then Dunlops lemans 701 any day, -Better punture protection, -Longer life, -Harder tire, -Better handling, PS : 195/65/r15 is a very big tire for Vitz which is not recomended…

Compare a car side by side with Michelin or CC6 or Advan DB and general. You will feel the car vibrating at higher speeds with General and more road noise with discomfort in rough roads. I already said this is not a placebo effect as I have compared my 2 civics side by side.

General is a budget tyre only.

Once you have noticed what road noise is you keep observing it.

A lot of sensible people who know the real value agree General tires are preferable to foreign tires - even the PW legend Mr. Suneel Munj.

i disagree i have used euro star on my grande which has odo reading now 36000km and bg luxo on my civic x turbo for about 12k km . both are working fine the best thing abt these tires is that they are new rubber unlike smuggled tyre which are out dated another thing is that imported tyres are nt made according to road conditions of pak. and after few k km they have issues like bloting n all not to say that imported tyres are not good but keeping in mind the road conditions the steel car n tyre…

I have been a long time user of Euro Stars. These are reliable tires. Grip is also good and they take Pakistani roads beating very well. I have also used Dunlop and Yokohama tires and then came back to General tires. I got Facelift Grande and it now comes with Yokohama Advan 470 A tires. These are quieter than Euro Stars. But still if Indus had given Euro Star on Facelift, I would have kept them.
