Please can downsize my tyre from 195/65r/15 to 185 on my Honda city 2016. This set of dunlop 195 i have driven for about 55k. I thinking of improving fuel economy.

Looking for suggestions.
Currently using 185 65 R15 dunlop in my 2014 Honda city. I am looking to change the tyres to 195 65 R15 but I have heard that it will reduce the petrol average but will increase height. Need suggestions should I keep the 185 profile or switch to 195 and if switch which tyres brand will he best noiseless and soft?

185/65 15 is the perfect size. Stock is 175/65 but 185 is a lot better.
195 actually spoils the ride quality, fuel avg and possibly suspension.

185/65 is best, don’t change profile. I’m talking from experience.
Regarding brands, it all depends on the budget and what is available. Low noise and soft options are there but the main compromise is usually tire wear and damage prone sidewalls. If you drive on paved roads, then you can get these soft tires. Yokohama Advan dB, Michelin XM2, Dunlop Touring R series/Veuro 303, etc.

I have to use the car mostly in Islamabad that is why I am preferring soft and silent tyres because roads in Islamabad are quite good. Previously I had experience with Chinese tyres they were pretty good the only problem with them was the noise. So I am planning japanese tyres this time keeping in mind the softness and silence. What will you recommend Yokohama or Dunlop?

Soft and quiet, most people here have good experience with Yokohama. If your budget allows, try Advan dB v552.

Alright so I'm planning to get new tires. Used michelin xm2+ for around 5 years and they are pretty good no complaints whatsoever. However according to Zafar enterprises they are not importing xm2s so market will be filled with smuggled ones. But they are importing Primacy 4. I checked around and the prices I got were

28k manufactured late 2021
36k manufactured end of 2022 spain.

This is a huge price difference so what should I do?

Never compromise on safety. Tyres should always be purchased brand new and original

Both prices from Zafar enterprises? If official import by them and kept at their storage, then there’s a chance the older one will also be ok. Tire rubber has a shelf life but generally will degrade a bit over time in good storage conditions. One can take a chance because the price difference is a lot.

Zafar enterprises refused to give me a quote and instead gave me a few numbers for dealers in the twin cities. These prices are quoted by them. I'm hesitating since the price difference is a lot and I'm not entirely sure if the tyres were stored properly.

Used tyres, even very slightly used ones, are always a huge risk.

Always save money and buy brand new ones from a trustworthy referenced source.

BTW What size should I go for in civic reborn? Getting 16" wheels from a friend so was thinking of going for 215/55/16. Also found a reliable dealer for michelin in the twin cities and hopefully will go tomorrow for the tyres. Available sizes in Michelin Primacy 4 are 205/55/16 and 215/55/16. Stock size is 195/65/15

Ideally you should be within 3% of stock I think.
But out of these two, 205 sounds better.

Using 205 will actually decrease overall diameter by 0.4% while using 215 will increase it by 1.2%. I searched a lot and yes acceptable diameter is within 3% of the stock size. Only concern is how much will it affect ride quality

The difference is not too much. You can’t go wrong with either but 215 will give you a bit more grip at the cost of a little less mileage.

Need suggestions on tyre size for Honda city prosmatec. Currently using dunlop 185 65 15. I am planning to go company standard size 175 65 15 in Yokohama or dunlop but I have heard k is say gari ki height kamm ho jaye ge or it will touch on speed brakers. I mean when company itself suggest a size it will definitely give better fuel average. But concern if it will reduce the height. Anyone using 175 65 15 how it is going or should I stick with 185 65 15?
