Aoa. I hope everyone in good health. I wanna share my experience about Korean brand Nexen Tires.

I purchased Nexen N Priz Sh9i from AR Dynamics, Saddi Road, Rawalpindi. Shop owner is professional and honest man, he retired from Pakistan General Tire from GENERAL MANAGER post. He delivered almost all necessary information that every man should know.

These tires cost me 30000PKR (7500PKR each).
Balancing, fitting, nitrogen gas, nozzles and pressure guage are included in this price. (Free ma )

Experience:
Remarkably soft for comfortable ride, amazingly improvement in braking and overall look and quality of rubber resin is extremely high. No one can judge its Made in China.

Comparable with Dunlop, Yokohama, Bridgestone, Pirelli and Michelin

It my personal observation and opinion it may differ with other.

How decent are the stock tyres on Yaris (BG Trako 185/60/R15)? Are they good enough to keep for 25000 KM's or is changing recommended? Drive is mainly in Islamabad/Rawalpindi

For 25000km they are good but not for 40000km drive as they become hard and noisy.

Mine got real bad after 16k. Swapped them for XM2s from Michelin and now ride is a whole lot better.

Hi Folks,

I want to change tyres for my Grande 2016. Tyre size is 195/65/15. I am planning to opt in for dunlop R1 which 2020 year made is available in market. LM 704 is out of my budget. I have already used yokohama Advan Db and that tyre was really good however it soft from side walls and i used to travel on gt road and motorways both so i cannot go for yoko this time. Can someone give his opinion about dunlop R1 please. I am getting those in 11.5k per tyre. Around 42k total with my current tyres adjusted. Is it a good deal? Someone told me that this tyre can become “terha”.

R1 is a good tyre. Go for it.

I have installed R1 the tyre is good not so soft though. Previously my car was having Kumho which is soft tyre and it's being installed by previous owner. I feel that it's little hard and on Pothole i feel the ride is bumpy. i am thinking that if i have gone for LM 504 my ride won't be bumpy. is it right? should i continue using this tyre as the salesman told me to change in 300 km tenure if i am not satisfied.

LM 705 is a good tyre as well better than R1. So if u have that option to exchange, thats great. its a bit expensive as compared to R1 but its a good tyre.

Recommended tyre size for Axio hybrid ??

Stock are 175/60/R15
trying to avoid the spacers, and looking for an optimum tyre size that caters for ground clearance. and not too bid that the ride comfort and economy is lost.

trying to find 175-65-15, it will increase ur car comfort and wont effect ur fuel economy, and easily available in market.

AoA, finding 195-60-15 profile as recommended in 1996 Accord manual seems very hard to find as most option i got at 2-3 shops in iSB were of 2020 year manufactured. everyone advised me to switch to 195-65-15 profile to get vast brand options to choose from as there will be no big difference in driving experience, i wanted to have your expert opinion on changing this profile?

Wsalam, yes the size difference is around3.3% which is barely outside the range of 1-2%

Why don’t you go with 185/65/15 instead as its only 1% bigger and well within range.

I'm upsizing the tires on my 2018 Vitz to gain a bit of ground clearance. It currently has stock Ecopia EP25's 165/70 14. They are in great shape, comfortable and pretty quiet, just 20K km driven, but the bottom scraping has scared me.
I am considering 175/70 or 185/70 on the same rim, which will give me half an inch to an inch worth of additional ground clearance. I am getting Yoko GT AE51's for around 12.5K a piece in 185/70. Also getting Dunlop ECO for 11K, but they are very basic as far as I have heard.
Please guide on what else is available in these sizes and whether GT AE51 is a good choice at this price.

175-70-14 will be good for u. it wont disturb ur fuel economy that much and will provide the ground clearance u need. yokohama is a good option go for it. Yokohama GT is the latest pattern durable and less noisy.

Thanks for the suggestion. I got a set of rubber on trial today. It is Yokohama AE50 in 185/70 14. It feels alright and does not seem to be scrubbing the fenders even with 4 people on for testing.
But this is not GT, and I don't know how different this is from GT AE51. Should this be this expensive (around 13k a piece) or should I just change to some other option, like SP 490 or Touring T1.

Ae50 is just an older model of Ae51 GT, both are comfortable tyres. U wont get the same comfort and performance if u go for 490 or T1.

prices are approximately the same these day, as u quoted.

Thanks. They felt ok so I kept them. Today I heard a few creaks and squeaks from the suspension when going over a ramp. The car just came in a week ago and this is the first time I heard it, and yesterday I got these upsize tires. The car is pretty comfy and soundless otherwise.
Could it be these tires or just my Weham
