I own Changan Alsvin & faced severe problem of BULDGING in my factory installed Hero Atlanta Tyres (185 55 R15) as my two tyres got damaged due to buldging as it hit some pits on road twice at different times.
Now someone told me that its due to low profile tyre so I should get them replaced with 185 60 R15. Is it so???

I am thinking of replacing them with budget tyres like BG Trako Plus. Or other options I may choose is among Chinese tyres like Warriors / Luxxan / Composal / Kumho.

Please advise what should i do?

If out of budget and can’t purchase continental and michelin etc than go for bg trako plus. Euros are good for pakistani road (less puncture and robust) only draw back road noise and comfort not as good as imported and good for only 50k. Don’t go for Chinese.

go for 185-65-15 tyre size. it will give u better road clearance plus better comfort. and do check ur tyre pressure u might be running low, which causes buldges when it hits a pot hole.

185-65-15 is not recommended in Alsvin as it touches the body while turning (As heard from couple of persons).
Tyre Pressure was absolutely correct (32 psi recommended and it was around 30 psi when buldge appeared). As in Alsvin, due to TPMS, it always indicates if tyre pressure is too low.

Buldge issue is due to low profile tyre as discussed with City Sales, Lahore experts. But may be tyre quality they used is so pathetic. Whatever the reason is, I had to change tyres as already faced loss of two tyres at different occasions.

Most probably I will go for BG Trako Plus due to low cost!!!

Looking for suggestions.
Currently using 185 65 R15 dunlop in my 2014 Honda city. I am looking to change the tyres to 195 65 R15 but I have heard that it will reduce the petrol average but will increase height. Need suggestions should I keep the 185 profile or switch to 195 and if switch which tyres brand will he best noiseless and soft?

185/65 15 is the perfect size. Stock is 175/65 but 185 is a lot better.
195 actually spoils the ride quality, fuel avg and possibly suspension.

185/65 is best, don’t change profile. I’m talking from experience.
Regarding brands, it all depends on the budget and what is available. Low noise and soft options are there but the main compromise is usually tire wear and damage prone sidewalls. If you drive on paved roads, then you can get these soft tires. Yokohama Advan dB, Michelin XM2, Dunlop Touring R series/Veuro 303, etc.

I have to use the car mostly in Islamabad that is why I am preferring soft and silent tyres because roads in Islamabad are quite good. Previously I had experience with Chinese tyres they were pretty good the only problem with them was the noise. So I am planning japanese tyres this time keeping in mind the softness and silence. What will you recommend Yokohama or Dunlop?

Soft and quiet, most people here have good experience with Yokohama. If your budget allows, try Advan dB v552.

Alright so I'm planning to get new tires. Used michelin xm2+ for around 5 years and they are pretty good no complaints whatsoever. However according to Zafar enterprises they are not importing xm2s so market will be filled with smuggled ones. But they are importing Primacy 4. I checked around and the prices I got were

28k manufactured late 2021
36k manufactured end of 2022 spain.

This is a huge price difference so what should I do?

Never compromise on safety. Tyres should always be purchased brand new and original

Both prices from Zafar enterprises? If official import by them and kept at their storage, then there’s a chance the older one will also be ok. Tire rubber has a shelf life but generally will degrade a bit over time in good storage conditions. One can take a chance because the price difference is a lot.
