Tyres for honda civic 2018

I want to buy new tyres for civic 2018, kindly give me expert opinion on this topic.I have sniffed through entire search results but most of the information is out dated and vague. Kindly give suggestions on which tyre is best considering pakistani terrain. I do not want to buy chinese brands. Also suggest me shops in pindi /islamabad who are trusted sellers of imported tires. I went to tire mart but they are insanely expensive. Tell me some other options besides tore mart and tire point. They are under stock these days

Whatever brand you choose, avoid smuggled or 'Cargo' stock. One of the ways you can spot them is by inspecting the sidewall. It should be uniform and not bent in any shape or form.

I would recommend you to only go via a authorized dealer, regardless of the brand you choose. I usually go for Michelins and bought them last year from Corner Tyres (one of the few shops who carry legally imported michelins in the twin cities) in saddar. If you're looking for yokohama, go with ZAMS Peshawar Road.

I wouldn't really recommend them. Visited them last year and they were carrying the 'Cargo' stock with somewhat deformed sidewalls which made me lose trust. But to each his own.

Really aporeciate your advice but I have heard that with passage of time side wall of michelin gets bumps and advan db side wall strength is very bad and its only good for smooth road drives. Occasional village trips make it vulnerable.

Can you please explain the difference between cago tyre and smuggled tyres.? Plus do you have any idea from where can I get continental tyres (original import tyres) in twin cities

I haven't experienced said issues in my 2 sets of michellins. Drove it on all types of roads for 5 years with 0 punctures.

To my knowledge, Tyre Point in Metro is the only shop that carries legally imported Continental tyres. While there may be other shops carrying it, legally imported ones will be difficult to source.

Cargo and smuggled are basically the same thing. Avoid both.

Thanks for your response brother. Exactly which series of michelin are you using in your civic? Currently some vendors are selling michelin primacy 4 which is going for 45K each, some of the sellers are recommending good year efficient grip series tyre. I wanted to go for continental uc6 as I have already used continental mc5, but continental tyre are short in market and those available are from old stock. Then there is an issue of identifying imported and smuggled tires. Its all very confusing

Got Primacy 4 for around 36ish in around the start of 2024. A friend who recently got dunlops for his civic from Tyre City in blue area is very happy with his decision. You may visit the shop and see what patterns they are offering and then compare reviews online.

Yokohama Blue earth ES32 affordable yet reliable choice I have used primacy 4 too unfortunately didn't felt difference in performance when compared, Primacy 4 is just damage to pocket and brand consciousness choice otherwise no wonders in performance.
I would have picked es32 if I were you. I think these days price is in between 28 to 32k.

Man, they're shit tires. I bought a new set for one of my cars, they're noisy and roll rough. My other car has Dunlop LM's and they're butter in comparison. I honestly see no advantage over good imported tires, except the price.

I own a civic 2019 model. OEM tyres so far. Odometer just clocked 60k. Confused between going for General BG LUXO PLUS vs YOKOHOMA as price difference is almost double. Plan to keep the car for the foreseeable future
