Sad to say there are tons of well settled members from UAE\Gulf countries on Pakwheels and they can't help to find any job for there Brother from Pakwheels ?

I am sorry for not being able to do that for you, and May Allah Help You! But in order for any of the members to help you on a refferral basis they need to know you on a personal basis. It is taking a very high risk to refer someone you know nothing about, which would put the persons repute in jeopardy in his own organisation. So pls come meet us in one of the meets, be regular, know us, introduce yourself, and then tell us what is it thatwe can help you with and how.

Pls do not be offended if we are well settled and you are trying to be. In matters of Deen (religion) one should look at the person who is better and more pious then him, and in the matters of Duniya one should look at people who have less then themselves and be thankful to Allah. So say "Al Humdullilah" always

Thanks for your kind and prompt reply. Ok I will surely join your meets if I come on Visit visa in UAE,

Kindly note that you took my reply in wrong sense and gave your reply unjustly. I NEVER get offended or feel jealous when I see any human being living better life than me. I always feel good for them and pray for them that may Almighty Allah give them more, How can anyone say anything against his faith without knowing what is inside his heart ?

What I meant was " Its easy for a well settled person to help a job hunter in finding a job" That's all I wanted to say and what I really meant.

As far as the referring matter and reputation are concerned, I don't think so that it will be a problem for referrals because its the responsibility of HR officer or that company to take interviews and judge their future employees, and they go for all the security measures for people of Pakistan as everyone is well aware of it. Procedures like medicals, education credentials etc goes through all the checking process from HEC and relevant places.

But the UAE meeting process you are talking about will take so much time for a person who is already on a visit visa of 1-2 months and one have to wait for a meet to take place and he have to be there on that time exactly. And for several meets as you say, It means I have to visit 3-4 times. 1 visit costs approx 1lac PKR so 4 visit will cost me 4 lacs. :o

That is the good thing about UAE Chapter. MashAllah say, we meet every Thursday...

As far as jobs are concerned... One can only refer IF there is an opening. When someone is looking for a guy, then one can refer. When the market is closed or is so much limited that you've to face so much competition, reference becomes ineffective.

And another thing... When someone is going to another country in search of a job and is looking for references, he should get in touch with the contacts before leaving to utilize the max. The reference or contact will know that someone is coming for this reason and that he should keep an eye on the opportunities for him.

I didn't come to UAE in search of a job, yet I called Hanif Bhai and asked him who should I contact in Dubai. He said meet Ashfaq Bhai and he'll make you meet everyone. I came, gave him a call and since then am in contact with all the active members of PW.

I read the above statement wrong, then wouldn't you agree that you wrote it wrong. Now my reason why i read the way I did and the msg it sent to me and the other UAE members and the reason I take it as an offence now and not earlier.

My question why would you start a sentence with the word "sad" are sad for us being seen in a better position then you or are you "sad" coz you are not with us. It sounds like a taunt at the UAE members. This sentence could have been much better, if it would have read as follows: "I wish the UAE members could help me find a job in the UAE and I can join in one of their meets." or "I am Sad I do not have job in UAE, so i could be in one of your meets along with other members"

Anyways, do not want to teach you english as I am not good at it my self.

Your post was not taken in the wrong sense but rather written in the wrong sense and I think i explained it why above.

Yes, you are right easy for us to refer you to our company or friends organization but that is if we know you or have met you through some one else's referrence or personally at least once.

Well if HR can do checking and the other stuff you mentioned, then they can surely find themselves ppl who can fill those positions too, they can do it all, no need for us refferring you to them right? Go directly to them! And with the above statement I say you do not have much experience either working or dealing with HR or how HR actually works in the Gulf Markets. When you are referred, some things take a back seat like testing your personality, psyche, compatibility and even short comings to the particular position or in your Resume. Hence referrals are very important, and the person referring you is always going to take a hit if things don't go well and Allah Forbide you are let go after a few months. That right there cost a company money and in the Gulf a lot of it. Since they could have hired a more worthy person in your position have had better success with him then they did with the referred person. So this comes back the referree as negative and that his referals are not worth the time of day. Referring someone is a serious business not like a shifarus from a government bureaucrat and then you get fired after the government changes

Another question: why does your nick say (Waqar_UAE) UAE were you not in the UAE or been to the UAE prior to this or otherwise?

The process I am talking about is going to PWs meet where ever you are,and having and meeting the seniors or other nice members and then getting your connection to UAE, like @istafa111 did and others like him. I have had many people referring ppl to me or the other UAE members, we know ppl look up to us to represent PWs and our country in good faith. So you donot have to spend 100k PKrs (Well at least you knowhowmuch it costs to visit the UAE, Just think how much an employment process is, if the person is not the right candidate) everytime to come here and that was not my intention either, your nick suggested that you have lived in the UAE or were. The last time you were in UAE, did you meet any one or contact anyone? I guess not coz none of the members I spoke to knew about you.

As for the offence, none taken, but it does seem like you took some. Anyways, May Allah Help You and Me!

thanks again for your reply and for guiding me. I am sorry if I offended you or anyone else in anyway. I hope you can understand that people from Karachi like me are facing Psychological trauma these days.

Sorry for the Trauma, wish things do improve as I am also from Karachi and one day will have to go back to it. Even though I am away I face it each everyday coz of my family members.

My offer still stands, if there is any way I can help I will be glad too.
