Sorry guys been busy lately and from thing to come looks like a busy weekend.
if you are heading out from AUH,
1) you could go to Liwa and see the Rainbow Shiekh Car museum. The drive is long and desert, but would be fun.
2) You could go to Jabal Hafeet, good drive but road underconstruction and lot of traffic but if it is earlier in the morning it would be almost no traffic like around 7am That is the best time to enjoy it.
3)If you want to come towards the east coast then there is the Hatta drive but too many Radars so has to be within speed limits. Good views like the Hatta Dam and all
4) Agaian cannot go wrong with the Kalba drive though mix of everything, good places to do BBQ, and great drive all the way to the coast (new radar on the downhill straight towards the coast limit is 80kmh.
5) Sharjah-Dhaid-Fujairah drive to the Khorfakkan beach and drive to dibba Hisn on the coast.
6)Musandham, Oman drive very beautful coastal road but you need to get out really early in the morning if you are coming from AUH or stay the night in Dubai, Sharjah or Ras Al Khaima. This would be expensive as need Oman insurance 50-100aed each vehicle, plus Visa, Vehicle Tax going and coming. At least 250-300aed per vehicle not counting fuel and other variables. Total distance 500-600kmh from AUH
