Beautiful pix! you were very close to my ancestral village (Sodhee). i visit sodhee every year. we dont have any relatives there now but a family graveyard. i ve never explored the soan valley but its about to change this year! the uchali lake is my first priority to visit, is it accessible by car? i see that huge crack in the road. and what other nice areas around this have u explored and will like to recommend?

Yes it is easily accessible by car. There are several other small springs and some lakes in the Soun valley, the whole valley is beautiful. You should see, Sodhi area, Amb Sharif's historic tombs, Sakesar, Khabeki lake, Jahlar Lake, the chashma at Sodhi, and if you are looing for adventure then do off road ride to Tolajjah's ruins. Chambal is another nice place, to name only the few..

I love with Soon Valley. It is still a little explored area very close to us and even a much more beautiful than peoples expectations. You always tried your best and contribute a lot to show people the real beauty of Soon Valley. Thanks for all good shares.

All blue; Uchhali Lake is the biggest of lakes in the Soun valley. Gives a very nice view with all those mountains around:

whats the status of fishing I mean is it good lake to go fishing ? is fishing allowed there under Punjab fishing License.. love to hang out at such an awesome lake some time..

I am not sure but I think fishing is not allowed here, I have never heard of anyone who came to the lakes here for fishing purpose.

Very nice trip and coverage 7thgear. You should take gs500 to such places, it will be more fun
Btw, how was the riding experience? After riding my gs500, i now feel that even gs150 is a very uncomfortable bike

The 500 could not have performed so well on the "pebblish" terrain I was riding the 125 on. As for comparison, yes the 125 is the most uncomfortable of bikes once you ride the 500

o! hmmm so that explains, being a hobbyist of fisshing I never came upon some one who went fishing there or talked about these lakes... and you are right may be saltish water is the reason ..

this area is very much safe.a few months back i went to thal desert and returned back at night.only my car was on thal road and never saw any vehicle on road and reached safely.also went to sakesar peak.this is only peak in this reigon which get snow fall in winter.and a person there told me that in winter of 2011 it snowfalled a lot that it took them 5 days to clear roads.only air force is hindrance in developing this area as a tourist spot beacause of its presence in this area.thats y u will not find any hotel to stay at night in whole valley and u have to come back to khushab.
