Well BMW Diesel engines are known as bullet proof engines last forever and my car has only 30000 KM on the board.... almost new....

Top Speed 160 MPH
0-100 in only 7.5 seconds

I have done this Lahore to Karachi trip last year in February in my Civic reborn, done it in 13.5 hours.

nice trip brother, on my wish list too....

can you please advise what are the visa requirements on a Pakistani passport

and did you have any prior arrangements with the levies protocol or were they kind enough to provide the same on arrival without any contacts

how much did the trip cost in terms of fuel, accomodation, visa fees etc

are you planning the reverse journey as well, if not then what about your car isn't there any custom requirement

On Pakistani Passport you would need to get 4 visas in total. 1) UK Visa (Valid for atleast 6 months prior to travel). 2) Schengen Visa. 3) Turkey Visa (on arrival with £50 fee). 4) Iran Visa. Both of us had British Passports thats y just needed Iran visa which wasnt a problem at all.

Total trip from Scotland to lahore cost us around £2300 (includes £900 for Iran Carnet on the Border). We stayed in Turkey for 2 days cost us extra money....

I have paid 41 lacs Custom for my BMW in Quetta custom house. that was pre planned anyway thats why we never brought the Carnet with us. (Carnet is the temporary import documents cost around £3000 from UK, again depend on the car you are taking with you).

We got the Levies protocol because of our Foreign number car and our British Passport. Plus on top of everything, Custom people on Taftan border are far more than nice people.

Outstanding and a really well done from London.

This trip sounds like a real adventure, and I would have been happy to take time off work to join and share the cost if with slightly more notice. Still the main thing is that you finished, which is brilliant. I have booked flights for a March KKH trip, which should be worth looking forward to anyway.

salam bro, were planning on doin this same trip from uk to pk, if we knew u wer goin before we would have joined u but just seen ur post, so will we need a carnet to enter turkey/iran border and iran/pakistan (taftan) border? can we get the carnet on the border or do we need to get it from uk? and how much do you think carnet be for 1994 pajero model? were going to brng the car bak to uk. also if you could email me on judge-2011@live.co.uk so i can get some more info from you, as you have already done the journey. thx
