Walaikum Asalam.. New model is not on sight yet.. Maybe sometime in 2021.. So I kept 1.6 Altis for one year bought new in 2018 and sold in 2019... Its a good car with compromises so I shifted to new Grande once i sold it... So here are the reasons why i did that...
1. CVT gear... 4 speed automatic does the job but as its too old now hence the technology is showing its age... Fuel consumption is more than CVTi and car had much higher RPM on motorway at 120 so it was more noisy as well.. So Yaris even has this now and globally Altis 1.6 came with CVTi
2. I missed cruise control which is a must on motorway
3. Although i had the late 2018 one with upgraded android HU but still as it had 1GB RAM it was sluggish and couldn't load google maps
4. Headlights were poor.. Halogen reflector is such an old technology and i had to change bulbs to improve the light which was still far worse than Grandes Bi LED
5. No traction control or stability which is now even coming in Yaris
6. No climate control and you realise its importance once you use it... Yaris also has it now
If you are fine with all these shortcomings then its a good car... Robust.. Spacious.. Powerful.. And good resale as well if you want to switch to 12th Gen once its launched
