Havent had the opportunity to have a feel of the new corolla X.....but just curious is this "passenger seat belt warning" the same that is being provided in Yaris 1.5 ativ x and Fortunner?? That "tunnt tunnt tunnt" that bugs us until the passenger wears a seat belt??

Exactly... The one that was there even in Vitz 99 model.... Indus has finally introduced it as a "feature" 22 years later

Well TBH it's an important feature. Annoys the passenger enough so that they do the civilized thing and wear a seatbelt. It's not a frivolity. But knowing people here they'll just stick those angry birds thing in the seatbelt to get around the beeping. Smh. And yet they ask for 8 airbags. If only safety were an exigency rather than an afterthought, we could raise the bar on the safety tech we get in our cars.

I don't even move the car even if any of the passengers in rear seats isn't buckled up, what to talk of front seat. Warning beeps or no warning beeps, one has to inculcate safety sense amongst family and peers

I agree with you 100%... i had reservations before owning 1.6 about transmission but it’s not like that how everyone bashes it here. It’s smooth and car doesn’t feel under power.
Yes we agree it can’t be as smooth as cvt but it is smooth and on highways car gives pretty good average, i am getting 15/16 km/l on 100km/h speed. If we drive at 120,130km/h then it gives 14km/l average.

that 11 gen corolla facelift is US Spec Corolla. yup both 11 and 12 are similar.

I'm surprised that they haven't given parking sensors in the Grande X... Even spyshots of the car in Karachi suggested that they have two at the back bumper...maybe just for show or are they going to add that before they launch 12th gen...it's weird because it was promised...Oh well now I have to navigate the Chinese infotainment and find the front cam application if i have to park in a tight spot.

Also, the airbag system does not deploy without a person wearing a seatbelt...even in pre alert system ( When the 11th gen came with 2 airbags in 2016-17)...its a reminder that you have to wear the belt in order for the bag to deploy at the deployable speed.

Grande Black package has comfier looking seats than the beige ones...not sure why but can anyone tell if there is a difference? Have they seen a difference sitting in both?

Am in need of a new vehicle on lease.
Compact SUV market has many options but gotten me confused.
So thinking of getting a trusted brand on lease, and then when the dust settles in, will get some compact SUV selling the old warhorse.

Toyota updated 11th gen already, fortuner and hilux facelifts are already ready for bookings. I dont see12th gen coming anytime soon, not at least a year. Would probably launch it with civic 11th gen in late 2022 according to my knowledge.
