Anybody knows why the fans running on UPS are burnt sometimes ? What should we do to protect them. ?

Honda , Kohler etc are selling these generators....as there is no restriction on ownership of a generator....
Only Usage of gas generators at domestic level has been banned by Sui Gas people....
They cut off ur connection if they find out ur using gas generator...
Those hundreds of generators are there cuz no one is buying them....cuz everyone except u knows using gas generators is banned...it was even in the newspapers....

I think both of you are correct... I guess gas generators usage was banned by regulators in Punjab and northern areas, however not in Karachi. Sui Northern Gas cut off connections, not Sui Southern gas company. That's why here in Karachi, people have no idea why others are worrying about gas generator ban, as more and more people here are now running gas generators.

I m using UPS 1200W (Made in Sukkur), with 140 amp AGS batt. I bought it 3 years ago at rs.14000.
It gives 3 hours backup at (2) fans and (2) 24W savers load.

I haven't changed the batt. up til now.
But now its time to replace the batt:

I m very satisfied with it.

Ups are better than generators for home use

i'd say ups is the best option. We have installed two ups in the house and Alhamdulilah never had any prob regarding backup. Just changed the batteries of time and thats all. Generator is better if u want to use ur computer, tv etc....besides auto generator costs u alot and the noise generators produce...OMG (u cant sleep lol)

generator is lil head ache but more reliable and cost once n will last more
