(Urgent) Need help with MCB lite activation

So I have filled an online form on mcblite.com. I received SMS shortly after my form submission. Followed the instructions,set PIN,downloaded MCB lite app from play store and logged in there too.

Where and when do I pay registration fee? How do I activate after it?

They called me to their branch for activation , i told them what is the point of this home delivery system and online activation if a person has to go and activate it ay your branch and take the time out . But then i went to my nearest branch and they said that we are sorry our branch is not a lite activated branch please go to this other branch . At this monent i threw this BS card in to the bin .

I have talked to their call center. You can activate it by calling their call center.

I did , they activated the card and then requested me to go to the branch for some other kind of activation . Some physical presence with your cnic is required .

Hmm. I infer you have to deposit its registration fee. Kindly deposit 500 rupees. Well I guess you have to argue with them now xD

Brother these are the steps I followed:

1. registered online

2. got sms link for completion of registration

3. card delivered in 5 working days

4. went to bank met operations manager. MCB branch has to be "liteized" to activate your card. Make sure you check your branch from MCB list of lite approved branches here : link

5. next step: call that branch, ask them if they are processing lite payments. dont go without doing this!

6. visit the branch go straight to operations manager. they will take a few moments on computer and then your card is activated. keep your original nic and copy with you.

7. go to the counter and deposit amount using mobile number 03xx........ as account number.

8. WAIT until you get sms confirmation that your cash has been loaded.

there are no fees for loading/spending etc.

1. make a minimum deposit of 1500 because 1200 is an annual one time fee that can be charged from the card. there is no set time for it, the bank runs this deduction from all new lite accounts according to their own timetable, so you can get charged one month into the service or after 1 year. but make sure to have that much balance spare!

Thanks for the detail,bro. Quite amazed at the delivery time of your card. Mine was to arrive today but still there is no sign of it. Probably tomorrow. +1 For the detail!

Offcourse, physical presence is compulsory for further final verification and activation, to prevent unauthorised cards.

Let's suppose, even if they fully verify remotely, you will still need to visit bank later on anyway, for top up. So why so much anger?[emoji23]

The major benefit of it is that you don't need bank account for this.

I read that it can be topped up online easily via my other bank account , i hate trips to the banks or any place with a Queue system seriously . And above that i did pay a visit for the sake of one time , and then they tell me our branch is not lite enabled , so i took off from the product of bank who cannot even maintain uniform services throughout its branch network .

I got MCB account and they called the ATM card as ATM debit card. so i assumed if its an atm debit card it will be good, but turns out its not we need a mcb lite card for that..

on other hand HBL mezan bank just gave me an Debit card which i can use anywhere i want(atms, online and at shops)

what MCB is doing is clever
MCB silver,gold and black cards yearly fee is 250,500,1000 and for online we pay up for lite card its double $$$$ for them...

Well i believe you can use your MCB debit card for online transactions too. If you were told it was not, i think this would be a recent move.
They are even offering further 20% off on MCB Debit card purchase on today's black friday offers on yayvo and daraz.

Hi, can you please guide me i visited MCB lite enabled branch in saddar rawalpindi they carried on the process entered my details and ask for one copy of cnic and after that they said deposit the fee and i will receive the message of lite card but i have did'nt received the message for lite card just received a message stating amount has been deposited.Please tell me what to do next
