Yes you can go in your car right up to the Mazar. Ferozpur road has been improved and it feels like driving on the motorway once you have left Lahore. Not so sure about the Sufi dance if it is held daily or not. This was my first and perhaps the last visit.

I don't know but most of the topics here are oppen for cnadid debate and we must not try and impose our point of view up on any one else. We must have the heart and the ability to hear both sides of the discussion. It is highly unlikely to hear only one sided view points from an open topic to all of the Paksitan and beyond. So please let the debate persue and listen to all arguments, and lets not show haste in closing this topic.

Dear Brothers,

Celebrating URS, going to graves and calling upon saints is not part of islam.In addition, this goes against islamic teaching.
Prophet Muhammad PBUH forbade us and cursed the jews for building mosques over graves.

Please call upon ALLAH only, go to Masjid and thats it...no graves nor Tombs.

can anyone tell me one good or valid reason of going to shrines and graves? can anyone prove that our beloved Prophet Muhammad, Sal ALLAHu ALehi wasalm, ever, if not ordered, at least advised to visit graves or praise or worship them? why dont you people want to understand???? i have so many authentic sayings of our beloved Prophet Muhammad, Sal ALLAHu ALehi wasalm, that he forbade coz IT IS HARAAM TO ELEVATE GRAVES FOR WHATEVER PURPOSE, BE IT A LITTLE BIT OR A STRUCTRED SHRINE....... IF NOT, PROVE IT OR ABIDE BY THE AVAILABLE SAYINGS!!!!! DONT JUST BLINDLY FOLLOW LIKE THE HISTORICAL MUSHRIK AND KAFIRS USED TO DO......

kindly pray with me for me and yourself that may ALLAH grant guidance to all of us....

while i myself don't consider this to be anywhere close to Islam, threads like these should not be here in the first place. Every one has a different mental capacity for sure.. if this is so, then we must be very ready to welcome threads related to Deobandism, Barelvism, Wahabism, Shiites and so on! how many of us can tolerate that?

we should not discuss religion or any sect or part of it. Our religion is not a joke that anyone can discuss it everywhere. Just being born in a muslim family does not qualify us for any such discussions.

Lets not make this thread a religious discussion and let it be a touring experience.
