I have visited Malaysia,Singapore Thailand Turkey and saudia Arabia and I was never questioned at the airport. They saw just my hotel booking and that's it. I think usa airports is the only airport where we people are questioned.

It is up to the immigration officer to determine to ask questions of any intending entrant or not, and if so, what questions to ask, by virtue of his/her legal authority to decide whether to let the passenger entry into the country or not.

Now i have a chance to book my 2nd field specialist school at oklahoma in US starting 23 march 2015. Visa expires on 13 march. Can i travel a few days earlier. Will they let me in. Will they let me stay there for 20 days?

You need to exit before the expiration. Overstay is illegal. immigration have you in their system. Also overstay will seriously hurt you future visa application. You have 3 months time. Better to apply for fresh visa

Some one told me visa is just an entry permit and the officer determine the length of u r stay? Mean they issue some new document to authorize u r stay?

Actually, ALL visas are merely permission to travel to a port of entry for the country issuing the visa. Permission to enter and for how long is ALWAYS determined at the post of entry, by all countries, by the designated immigration control officer.

If you have visit visa.. it's automatically 6 month maximum stay. You must leave before that. In US at anytime of your stay you must have a valid document. Otherwise people will overstay and not leave the country. Read http://www.uscis.gov/working-united-states/temporary-visitors-business/b-1-temporary-business-visitor

Incase your stay getting extended due to some reason you need to file form I539. Approval still is the department discretion. Here is the form http://www.uscis.gov/i-539

It depends on what used to be the I-94 form, now the process is electronic. Usually the documentation is just a stamp in the passport indicating the permissible length of stay for that particular visit.

Dear friends
I have a USA visa stamped on my PP. This was issued for a 2 months training course to be held @ kelivile oklahoma. Course dates were feb 2014. But visa process took longer and my course was transfered to uae. Latter the visa was issue.
Now i want to use that visa( still valid till march B1) for tourism
Any one can explain if i am ok to go?

I have applied for visit visa of USA in B2 Category which is Business/Pleasure/Holidays/Visit Family, etc. My sister is US National and living there since 17 years.
I am going to travel first time and filled all details on DS-160 which is online visa form for USA.
Now what next? Whenever I called to US Embassy, they repeat same answer that all details are available on website, visit website and ?? hang up !! Though its rude way, but I know they are not allowed to talk either on phone about visas.

Anyway should I wait for the email or phone call from them? And then I prepare to go Islamabad to visit Embassy?
Because I couldn?t find whats next after filling the online form?

I have been in UK, China, S. Korea, Sri-Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam before.

After filling form you have to get payment challan for visa fee available online.
After depositing fee you can schedule your meeting with visa officer.
You have to go embassy personally for interview. There are chances you will get visa based on your travel history.

Sorry for too late reply.
They dont want any supporting letters except the things you described. I took all of these docs which you mentioned but they dont bother to look them. However its better that you take them with you as i would be handy if they demand any thing.

I paid their visa fee and set the appointment too. I've applied for visit visa to see my kin relatives. But i am worried about the documents which they have asked to bring alongwith Interview.

Should i keep the bundle of documents with me for safer side? Like my company & biz, Tax returns, bank statements, etc. etc.

Aoa how was your interview and did you got the visa? Please share the questions asked by the visa officer?

The only thing that u r visa depends is that u can prove u will come back, like u having u r job, business, bank loans, etc...
They wont ask u to prove it but the need to be sure that u will come back...

Well it was less than 5 min. interview and if you ask me frankly then I was not satisfied about it. Because how you can guess someone in a short interview of less than 5 min. ? Here are the questions that I went through. Q1 Why you want to go to USA? Ans: For two reasons. 1 to meet my real sister. 2nd to check opportunities to explore my biz. Because a decade ago we used to export in USA, but not in the recent years. That’s why I want to go and check some possibilities to expand my biz Q2 Your sister is American national? Ans: Yes Q3 Has she applied visa for you? Ans: No. Am going my own. Q4 What is your monthly income? Ans: It doesn’t apply to me now. Because I am not doing job. I am doing my biz and everymonth statistics are different. He insisted to give an idea and then I told him USD 1500~2000/ Month While filling visa form they ask If you have ever arrested or has gone through similar activities. And I wrote some details over there that was not a direct criminal offense but I had to pass through some legal obligations and soon I was declared totally clear. I wrote everything well while filling that form. Visa officer was reading that paragraph and asked me “have you ever arrested? I said “No”. But I had to pass through some legal obligations and soon I was declared totally cleared. Then he said if you were not arrested then no need for you to fill this section and you may leave it empty. I said OK. Q5 Which countries you’ve travelled before and why? Ans: UK, Sri Lanka, Thailand, China, South Korea and Vietnam. And it was all about my biz. Q6 What is your biz Ans: I gave him one line answer. Then he immediately informed me that I am not qualified this time. They will send me email in which they explain me the reasons/questions or additional informations. I said OK. After one week I received email and it was just a general email explaining that you are not qualified for visa and next time you may apply again, etc. etc. I will post a copy of that email here. I think its very general email message which they send to everyone who don’t qualify.

i guess they have rejected your visa because you have a criminal record as you said that i have to pass some legal obligations. anyways i hope you will get the visa in future stay positive.
