In my opinion public itself makes it to hard to follow the damn rules people they do know how to drive a vehicle but most of them don't have the manners to Drive on road you seriously can't even cruise on road untill you have an SUV or a Hilux Dalla so people will maintain a difference between your Dalla/SUV

Bought a car that was in my budget somewhat drive not that economical but that's what you get in a budget & suddenly patrol/diesel prices started increasing from 109 to 127pkr/Ltr now it will be increased by 7 to 10pkr/Ltr..
CNG Prices are like 180ish/Kg

In my opinion Hatchbacks are just BRANDED Practical they are not a Choice but a Compromise they are not value of money & I my view they are not even practical we have owned 3 different hatchbacks bought one after another owning these hatchbacks I realized that these hatchbacks were not at all practical Swift lacks Rear leg room Poor seat foam quality Full of Cheap Hard plastics & poor fuel economy Cultus having hard Steering doesn't have an decent boot space even without CNG non of these hatchbacks have decent boot space
If have decent leg room then they'll have less boot space & vice versa because of their short wheelbase which make them easy to maneuver that's the only reason why they're called practical & last but not least they are not CHEAP to maintain these new hatchbacks parts prices are expensive I have a decent budget I would buy an used corolla rather than buying a Cultus or wagon r

Buying a clean, unabused used car is next to impossible these days.
If you don't look at the grass on the other side which is fertilized by bullshit. You may enjoy these hatchbacks. I have owned many hatchbacks and many sedans, no vehicle is perfect.
I owned the old cultus for 12 years, went from kalam to multan, motorway, gt road, anywhere and everywhere. We are a family of 6 and no one complained. It did 12 local and 16 long.
Similarly, I had a khyber for 8 years, a coure for 5 years, a 660cc alto for 5 ish years.
If you compare a hatch with a corolla, it might seem like a compromise but if you look at it for what it is, it is a fun, practical mode of transport. I even owned Mehran for a long time, I am certain that many will agree, hatchbacks are a completely different beast all together

It's always a choice, a practical one, but a choice, you can always buy an older sedan, so it's eventually your choice that you went for an alto instead of a corolla

seems like you want hatchback to have boot space with rear passenger seats occupied too. You need an estate car for that.

True for local econo boxes like Cultus, alto and wagon R.
As mentioned above, vitz 3rd Gen is a hatchback but it's super roomy, both front and back. Probably more than some sedans.
Boot is also big for a hatchback size. Obv not as big as a sedan.

Spent my childhood in hatchbacks at first we had a charade 2 Door in our family then a Mehran for a very long time after that my father bought a brand new Alto vxr in 03 sold in 07 bought a coure brand new sold in 2010 & bought another coure was with us till 2014

Although alto is easy to maneuver but lacks Rear leg room & fuel efficiency is same as a sedan
Yess I really love Vitz specially 2nd generation but now they are really abused & expensive 3nd generation Vitz asking price is almost same as corolla e140 & Earlier E170 pre-facelift 1.8 million to 2.7 million..

now a days, fuel cost has become integral again, so balance shifting towards small hatchbacks..

i agree that hatchbacks are not comfortable for extended period of time but still got some major advantages.

to me, parking is best, u can fit in most of places and can save lots of time which u spend finding a proper spot which wont create hinderance for others specially if you are living in big city..

u can goto places inaccessible by sedans also can find parking..

AND u can cut ur fuel expense to half, avoid yearly tokens, really expensive tire replacements and other associated expenses..

and in Pakistan the money u spent to buy the car keeps appreciating according to current market price...

My uncle had an Vitz 2nd generation rarely used clean car as I was thinking to sell out my swift to get that vehicle but unfortunately couldn't get that car after a year or so I checked registration number on excise site engine was change SWAPPED with 1.3L engine..
Even though that car wasn't abused or even used that much the new owner managed to kill the 1krfe engine !!

New Hatchbacks have a few disadvantages like one that discouraged me to buy a new cultus in the name of cost cutting or maybe weight reduction cultus doesn't have rubberised undercoating on inner wheel arches & it doesn't have a plastic mudguard..
