Today’s Car Hunt in Peshawar – Need Your Suggestions!

So today, I visited Peshawar to find a good vitz 2017 model, but after searching the whole Ring Road market, I couldn’t find any vitz 2017 models. Instead, the market was full of Vitzyaris (imported cars), and PASSOS and most of them were 2020+ models, which were way out of my budget.

Considering my budget and family needs, I have now decided to go for a 2017 Corolla Gli Manual. Fuel is not a problem for me, so economy cars like Alto and other small cars are not an option—I need a real hyper car that fits my big family.

Now, here’s my question: I was initially looking for a vitz 2017 model, but now I’ve decided to go with Gli 2017. Is this the right choice? Or should I consider getting a 2015 Altis, which I can get may be in 2017 Gli price? But then again, the 2017 Gli will be a newer model.

What do you guys suggest? Is going with the 2017 Gli Manual the best decision? Let me know your thoughts!

@afrasyab982 drop the manual GLI. Do NOT buy a manual it will be terrible to drive specially in congested traffic and low resale.

Go for automatic Altis eyes closed. Just do thorough inspection via pakwheels service and only buy if in good condition.

2015 Altis will be a 10x superior vehicle compared even with 2020 GLI manual if there is one.

1.8 Toyota engine with Toyota CVT is the best you can get in a sedan in Pakistan in terms of reliability.

Looking for a Daihatsu Mira ES (2011-2017) in decent condition for around 20-25 lac is such a chore. I had to convince myself that i'll look past the "fender change, door paint, bumper touchups" bs and focus on making sure the mechanical side of the car is good. Interior and exterior can be resolved easily. Mechanical parts not really. Some owners tell me that their car is totally genuine when i can clearly see the mismatched paint or the board marker numbers on the airbox in the engine bay or them telling me they use 20w50. Most cars also have suspiciously low km's like 50-65k and they look like absolute shitboxes. I've tried looking at other kei cars and it's no different.

I am getting a well maintained Gli 17 manual. Bonut Genuine(3inch touching), Front fenders genuine, Chat, Diggi, Pillars 100% genuine. 1st owner car. Rear doora are showered, front doors have touching,( according to inspector they are showered, but owner kept saying it has little touching).

Rear fenders ( owner says there is touching in Golaaaai, and Inspector said it os showered. Gade is full seal by seal.)

What price should be good? If i have to buy it.

Car looks clean so you can consider it. All cars need repairs when buying used.

What does he mean by chassis number cover on the report, also the jack and tools are missing. Thirdly, the chassis number in the pictures don't match, needs to be verified

As the chasis is present under the seat, due to the after market rakzene on the floor it is covered. But i will check it very very carefully. In my second car i found a heay rust on floor. So this time I will be removing the rakzene and carpet from the floor to check CHASIS as well as floor. Because some cars have made rust on floor due to the Ac pipe leak in the passenger side.

The ac drain pipe leakage issue is very common in PKDM 10th and 11th gen Corollas.

Warning: some sellers have created fake pakwheels inspection reports and are sharing them. On of the yaris owner said me that my car has a rating of 9.5 and i knew he is lying so when i said please share the inspection report. He sent me a edited inspection report in pdf form.

I dont trust pakwheels inspection fully, but believe that 50% of fake sellers fear their inspection. The rest 50% will confidently say our car is genuine, non accidental and blah blah blah. But when u inspect their car and result comes. They will text u what is the result. And then when u tell them ur car its accidental they will say i did not know.

As i am new in cars market, according to my analysis 98% of the time the seller lies. Some said we have an offer of 38 and we will not give less than that. When i tel him i am a genuine buyer what will be last price they say 37.5. So am i their cousin or relative due to which they are giving me discount. Some said very small touching, when i calls them and force them then they say it has full sprayed parts. Some are genius in lying and you can only trap them once u do inspection. But the inspector should be knowlegdeable. I got one Pakwheels Inspector in ISB. THE inspector was well educated and knew how to check for faults. He check the vitz in very detail and give me alot of insights in comments too. When i told the seller about the faults he did not reple but hope uski chaddi uthar gaye.

corollas always rules the market and made for Pakistani roads. According the Inspection, its good to buy.Still if you want to consider second option, than its a Rebirth which i will consider over GLI.

It's not about the car but the condition it is in looks a bit suspicious to me

Devils in the detail just take a good look at the vehicle psychically people often forget or leave/miss small things when getting a car ready to sell,
Take a test drive if possible, listen carefully if it has any rattles noise etc

I offered him 3.6 million based on certain conditions, but he is firm on 37.5 million, so I have decided to walk away from the deal. If he had agreed to my price, I would have been in a safer position, as I am in KP and the car is in Lahore. If the deal had gone through, I would have visited Lahore to inspect the car physically. If it was in good condition, it would have been a win for me since I already negotiated a good price. However, if it wasn’t in good condition, I would have backed out and denied the deal.

NO CAR IS TRUELY UNIQUE.
