bachpan main parha tha { jis ka kaam usi ko saajhe } 6 months is a lot of time. one can assemble a full car in it. but when there are two captains of a team, one can very well imagine what happens.
i really feel sorry because i know that Lodhi sb spent about a year researching on benz. then about another year contemplating whether to buy or not and another 8-9 months to buy a clean merc whose transmission had a literally friend sensor plate. the car had missing problem and the ac...... well you know
The criteria of buying a used merc is that you change all fluids and other consumables instantly if you dont know about the history of the vehicle. hamare kuch bhai kehte hain chal rahi hy to sab sahi hay.
a 126 came for gear problem. the car was with us for 3 days and is back with the owner.
a 202 took the same time.
my own 202 was literally flooded with water during a rain 2 years ago. the car had water in the car till gear lever. in 7 days, the car was as good as before.

Lodhi sb is a very nice fellow and he did not order the batery. it is just an example and you can read between the lines. we have been a bit lazy with his car. i understand his feelings. hope all goes well.
when i bought the silver S class tank, it was the most famous tank of lahore. no one would go near it. the tank had a faulty gearbox, idle rpm stability issue and back firing problem. we didnt touch it for 6-7 months after buying. gear box was changed and one issue was fixed. for other issues, it took about 3 months. back firing will simply not go away. idling was fixed but power steering and break booster didnt work at idle and missing problem remained. INH tested the car. The car was with them for 5-7 days. they said sorry. same was with Porsche, another well known workshop in lahore.
the problem was resolved without changing ANYTHING at all. just took some real hardwork. the car is runing fine since a couple of months now.
the purpose of writing this is not to boost about our work. also, i dont want to imply that we are the best. but let me tell you lodhi sb, we are farrrrr better than mechanics in Lahore.
he is not a mechanic. he is a brother to me. he is my partner in everything we do. if you remember, i took you there once to show you the w124. you came directly in contact with him and tried bypassing me. it is sometimes useful but not always. you knew it was my yard but did you consult me before going there? mere se baat krne se paise double na ho jate pyare bhai.
remember you used to ask a shopkeeper to source things for you from Dubai? he once mistakenly gave you the parcel with Dubai's contact information written on it? That day on you started contacting the Dubai guy directly and you were very proud of it.
you tried sourcing the part yourself and it was confiscated by customs. time wasted isnt it? and you want us to source the parts over night? our scanner is faulty but you are witness that your car was diagnosed with latest STAR right? so, why are you worried about the faulty diagnosis system? yes, i have bought another system and it is in Germany. Can you arrange to get it shipped to Pakistan? every workshop here runs with scarce resources brother. manage karna parta hay. koi civic ya toyota to hay nahi k bilal gunj se 10 piece lao aur try kar lo.
i didnt want to write this but i couldnt resist in the end. this is the primary reason of 6 months delay that you are whining about here.
